Gharb-Chrarda-Béni Hssen

Situated in north-western Morocco, the region of Gharb-Chrarda-Béni Hssen has a population of more than 1.8 million. The capital city of the region is Kenitra.

The Gharb is a vital agricultural region, producing massive crops of rice, sugar cane and strawberries. A variety of factories have been set up so as to process a portion of the agricultural yield of the region.

The city of Kenitra in the Gharb-Chrarda-Beni Hssen region is a port city located on the Sebou River. There are numerous attractions in and around the city. Also in the region is the city of Sidi Kacem. Nearby this destination is the renowned site of Volubilis, historical Roman town that was built on the remains of an ancient Carthaginian settlement.
