The Sahara

The Sahara is the world's largest desert. Only a small part of the Sahara is fertile and it is here that corn, dates and other fruits grow. These parts are fed by underground rivers and oases. The Sahara can be an inspirational experience at night, with the air being crisp, clean and clear and the stars being so close you can almost touch them.

High Atlas

The Atlas is the biggest mountain range in North Africa. It can be divided up into the High Atlas region, Middle region and Anti region. It is an ideal place for sports lovers and sightseers. Here you can ski, mountain bike, hike and horse ride or simply take in the breathtaking scenery. There are many rivers and waterfalls in the area that should not be missed.

Regions

Morocco is divided into several regions or provinces. Some of them, such as Agadir and Casablanca are fairly well known. Others, such as Al Hoceima and Khouribga are somewhat less visited by tourists and therefore lesser known. However this does not mean they have nothing to offer. Beaches and Coast

The natural beauty of the Moroccan coast is definitely worth seeing. You can sit back and relax at one of the more popular, tourist laden beaches or you can make your way out to a stretch that is somewhat more deserted and quieter. The choice of where you choose to find sand between your toes is up to you.

National Parks

With over 210 species of birds and 105 species of mammals, the National Parks in Morocco are truly a nature lovers dream. They offer exotic creatures such as flamingos, more common animals such as the red fox and 29 endangered species (11 birds, 18 mammals). Why not take a trip to one of these Parks and support nature conservation?

Mountains

There are several fantastic mountain ranges in Morocco. You can climb, hike, ski and ride mules in the area. Regardless of what mode of transport you choose, you will likely be completely captivated by the amazing variety of foliage, natural water features and picturesque peaks.

Atlantic Coast

The sea provides a significant amount of income for Morocoo – whether through tourism, fishing or shipping. Many colorful cities are based on the coast and you can easily make your way down to the docks to share some maritime stories with the locals. You could also take up windsurfing or simply have a refreshing swim in the sea.
