Park Hyatt Marrakech Opening in 2011
The exotic country of Morocco is a popular tourist destination with plenty to offer the thousands of holidaymakers who visit each year. With an increase in the number of visitors each year, Morocco is also attracting investors who recognize the value of this beautiful North African country. The Global Hyatt Corporation is investing in a new hotel in Morocco – the Park Hyatt Marrakech – scheduled to open in 2011.
The new 120 room Park Hyatt Marrakech will be located within the boundaries of the magnificent Al Maaden residential and leisure development. The hotel will feature a modern architectural design, with luxurious residential interiors. Creative restaurant concepts, along with an elegant lounge and bar, are aimed to appeal to hotel guests as well as the residents of Al Maaden.
Al Maaden is situated near the fascinating historical and cultural center of Marrakech, with the majestic Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. Residents at the new Park Hyatt Marrakech will have the benefit of being able to play a round of golf on Al Maaden’s 18-hole golf course which has been designed by Kyle Phillips, an award winning golf course designer. The Al Maaden residential and leisure development has been designed as a collaborative project by renowned architects Eduardo Gaggiano, Didier Lefore, Cheong Yew Kuan and Patrick Genard.
Gebhard Rainer, managing director of Hyatt Europe, Africa and the Middle East, has expressed his confidence in the success of the new Park Hyatt Marrakech, stating that Marrakech is one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations and Hyatt is proud to be associated with Al Maaden in this development.
The developers of Al Madden have reached an agreement with the charity organization Orient-Occident Foundation with regard to the construction of a training center for individuals who currently live in under-served areas, with a view to ensuring that they receive the education, resources and training to develop the skills needed for future job opportunities at the new development. Park Hyatt Marrakech is similarly committed to the development of the local community, and plan to employ more than 200 people for the opening of the new hotel.
