Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate
Situated in northern Morocco, the region of Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate has a population of about 1.8 million. The region’s capital city is Al Hoceima.
The region of Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate takes in some 24,155 square kilometers and includes the provinces of Al Hoceima, Taounate and Taza. Located in the Rif Mountains is the city and port of Al Hoceima. The relatively modern city reflects a strong Spanish influence. Visitors can relax on the beaches in and around Al Hoceima, take a stroll around the city or swim in its cool waters. The Port of Al Hoceima is also of interest.
Be sure to also travel to the city of Taza. Boasting spectacular views, Taza has much to offer tourists. Shoppers will be thrilled with the souks, while sightseers will enjoy touring the city and viewing such sights as the Kasbah, Bab el-Rih, the city walls, and Great Mosque.
