Barbary Apes…Oh my…and More On The All Day Ride to Erfoud, Morocco

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com A short distance from Ifrane were a few remaining cedar wood forests inhabited by Barbary Apes. Relatives of the 100 Barbary Apes currently living in Gibraltar, these Barbary Apes (really monkeys) are found in the Middle Atlas of Morocco and Northern Algeria. Nasty looking incisors and not at all afraid of people since tourists are always stopping to feed them.The bus ride continued into Berber country and the terrain changed from green to dry and arid once we crossed the Col du Zad. Desert, here we come....
