  • More About the Front End Laundry Rooms

There is 13 feet between the washing machines and the dryers on the right and left walls. On the right wall there is a 5 feet long Mosque Bench. In the right side laundry the Mosque bench is on the left wall. All Mosque Benches are brown stain wood. On the opposite walls there is a presser machine in each laundry room. Guests can ask to have their clothes washed and pressed by appointment. Usually in the evening. The presser machines are about 4 feet long.
The entrance doors open into the laundry rooms. There ares a 3 feet wide left and right walls the doors open against. The doors have antique brass plates and doorknobs. The doors do not have a lock. The bathroom doors lock from the inside witha turn lock on the right doorknob if they are on the right side of the fortress and turn lock on the left side if they are on the left side of the Fortress.
The left side laundry is for sheets and the right side laundry is for towels and guest clothes. The left side laundry can also do guests clothes in the evening.
The washing machines are in front of the leaded glass front windows. All front bedroom windows in the Wings and the Fortress bedrooms are leaded glass.
More about the Front End Bathrooms. There are shiny brass soap dispensors on the wall above the sink counter. There is one to the left of the left faucet and one to the right of the right faucet. The bottle of liquid soap refill is kept in the cabinet under the sinks.
In the top right and left drawers there are toothbrush, toothpast e and deoderant packs.
Individual bars of soap for the shower are kept in the top center drawers. In the bottom left drawer the clear plastic trash bags for the wastebasket are kept.
Outside. We have to go under the center bridge to get to the entrance door to the basement. There is a door under each side of the bridge. The entrance door is inside the arc neaar the front of the bridge. The entrance door opens into the basement stair well. The light switch is to the left of the entrance door opening. there is the switch for thfor the ceiling light at the top of the stairs. This is shiny brass ceiling light fixture with white opaque glass cover. You go down the 4 feet wide metal stairs. The stairs are similar to the stairs in the Main Palace stairwells. The walls are grey stone brick each side. Behind the entrance door there is a dark maroon stain glass window. The window is 3 feet wide.x 5 feet high. the window can be opened. The window has screen. The window is above the moat. At the bottom of the stairs is the wall under the outer wall of the laundry room. At the bottom of the stairs you turn to the right. Left in the basement on the other side of the overhead bridge.
When you turn at the bottom of the stairs you are under the laundry room which is 20 feet long and 19 feet from front to back. There is a 4 feet x 4 feet closet under the top of the stairs. The second basement light is centered on the ceiling. It is the same design as the light fixture at the top of the stairs.
There is a second stair case on the other side of the basement room. The design is the same it is just on the opposite side. There is a second closet under the top of the second staircase. The staircase has the same designmetal stairs and grey brick stone walls.
On the front wall there is a 5 feet x 7 feet brown stained closet for storage. There may be 2 wood ladders in each of the closets under the stairs
At the bottom of the second stairs there is a door straight ahead that goes to the second basement room.
The moat is outside the front wall. There probably is a double wall. One for the moat and the inside one to the basement and laundry room walls.
Next time more about the basement and the second room.

    • A Few Incidentials/The Front End Basement Rooms

First the drapes around the 4 poster canopy beds are satin with shiny silver embroidered stars. The center 2nd sections the drapes are light green with light green cotton drape linings. The front end bedrooms are dark wine color satin with shiny silver stars and light lilac cotton linings.
The cabinets in the laundry rooms have upper drawers. The center cabinets have off white cotton towels. The towels have blue stripe. The sink cabinet have mock drawers in the center because of the sink and also right and left drawer. The right and left drawers also have off white cotton towels for cleaning the machines. The right and left storage sections have bottles of liquid hand soap refills for the bottle dispensor on top of the sink counter to the right. The lower storage sections have mild dish soap which is mixed with the bleach for cleaning.
Back to the first basement room. Down the stairs on the left front wall is the storage cabinet. It is brown stained wood. The cabinet is 11 feet long with a 3 feet wide left and right closet for storing the swiffer mops, the dust mops and the carpet sweepers. Now they have mops like Swiffer mops but you can refill the dispensor with what ever kind of cleaning product you want. This is nicer than the Swiffer mops and solutions. The Swiffer mops and dust mops are in the right cabinet and the carpet sweepers are in the left cabinet. The lleft closet there is also hanging a round bristle paint brush and feather duster for dusting. There is an upper shelf in the closets. In the center there is the cabinet part which is 5 feet wide. This is where cleaning supplies are kept. There are 2 lower drawers and in the upper part of the cabinet are 4 shelves for the supplies.
In the closets under the stair platform are the ladders. Inside the closets there is a door that opens into the closet on the inside. This is how you can get under the basement stairs if necessary. The doors are 3 feet. They dark brown stain wood doors. The inside door is also dark brown wood stain. The doorknobs and plates are antique brass.
This is the front basement room. The entrance door to the second room is across from the boof the first stair case. The door opens into the next room. It is also dark brown wood stained dor and frames and moldings. This door is also 3 feet wide.
In the second room which is 20 feet long and 15 feet wide. The same as the bathroom above. All the basement walls are grey stone brick. At the far end of the second room there is a closet in the right and left corners This is where the eletric hot water heaters are located. In between the closets is the water pump. On the wall past the entrance door is the circuit braeker panel cabinet. The cabinet is grey metal cabinet with doors. To the right of the entrance door there is a double brown stained cabinet where tools are kept. The cabinets are 5 feet long each. The cabinets have 2 lower drawers. Double upper doors and 4 shelves inside the upper part. The far cabinet stores lightbulbs and the near cabinet stores tools.
Since the upper bathroom has the tunnel on the outer wall and the laundry room does not , this is why the rooms are not the same size. The second basement staircase takes you up to the tunnel. At the top of the stairts there is another 3 feet wide x 5 feet high dark maroon window like the window at the top of the first staircase. The windows at the top of the stairs are arced and open up and down. The platforms at the top are 4 feet x 4 feet size. The tunnel door opens into the basement platform. The 3 feet wide door is the same design as the entrance door on the other staircase. All the basemnt doors, frames and moldings are dark brown stain and the same design.
The basement ceilings are not finished. The rafters show.
The moat is outside of the first basement room walls. The grey stone walls on the outside of the building are double with cement in between.

      • The Basement Rooms continued

I am still not quite happy with the bedroom drapes. The 4 poster canopy beds have dark grey metal poles between the posts. This is where the drapes are hung. The center bedrooms, the drapes are dark green satin with shiny gold stars. The drape linings are light green cotton linings. The front end bedrooms, the drapes are dark wine satin drapes with shiny silver stars. The linings are light lilac color cotton linings.
The basement. I decided that the electric water heaters are under the platforms at the top of the stairs. The inside of the water heater closets are 4 feet x 4 feet. They do not have another door inside the closet. Instead the closets are open under the stairs.
The 5 feet cabinet in between the 3 feet wide closets. This is where the cleaning supplies are kept. There are 2 lower drawers and 3 upper shelves. The closet has 2 1/4 feet wide double doors. In the closet are pine sol cleaner, bleach, mild dish soap, spray glass and mirror cleaner, soft scrub cleaner for the bathroom sinks and showers and toilet bowl cleaner.
In the lower drawer there is spray pump furntiure polish in one drawer. In the lower drawer there are off white cotton towles for cleaning. They have brown stripe.
The electric panel is located on the front wall between the closets. The electrical cabinet is light brown metal. The water heaters are light brown metal and the tops are medium brown metal. All the water heaters re the same design.
In the second basement room there is the 5 feet wide cabinets to the right of the entrance door. These cabinets have extra light bulbs in them. They are the same design as the 5 feet wide cabinet in the first room. They have 2 lower drawers which are 4 1/2 feet wide.
In the far back corners there is a 4 feet x 4 feet wide cabinet each corner. In the right corner there are 2 wood ladders in the closet. The ladders are 6 feet high. The closets are 7 1/2 feet high and the basement rooms are 9 feet high. In this closet there are 2 boards across the left side of the closet. There are antique brass right anghooks along the boards. There are different size paint brushes hanging from the hooks.
The entrance doors open out to the room and are 3 feet wide. The doors, frames and moldings are dark brown stain. All the basement doors are dark brown stain. This is the right closet.
In the left closet there are shelves against the back wall. The lower part there are 2 drawers. Wall paper tools are kept in the 2 lower drawers. Small tools are kept in the top of the 3 lower drawers. Tools are kept on the upper shelves. The tools are organized.
There is a 7 foot long Mosque Bench centered along the wall between the back closets.
Everything in the Palace is organized.
Next time, the front end tunnels.

        • The Phones/The Front End Basements/The Tunnels

There are a phone in each one of the Fortress bedrooms. If the bedrooms are to the left of the bathroom, the phone is on the left night stand. If the bedrooms are to the right of the bathrooms, the phone is on the right night stand. The phone in the bedrroms with the twin beds, the phone is on the center dresser. The phones connect to the front desk in the restaurant. This is for food or the golf cart or outside calls.

I decided that the basement stairs should be made of stone blocks like the other stairs in the Fortress. This means there is no space under the stairs in the water heater closets.
The electrical circuit cabinet is dark brown metal cabinet. There is a 5 feet long Mosque Bench against the wall under the electrical cabinet.
Extra pads and cartriidges for the Swiffer mops are kept on the shelf above the mops and dust mops.
Thie is the first basement room.
The second room there is an ornate 11 feet long cabinet to the right of the entrance door. I decided not to have the light bulbs in these cabinets. Instead they are for Mohamed to decide what he wants to use them for. The light bulbs will be kept in a cabinet in the Meeting room basement.
The Mosque Bench in the second room is between the far corner closets. The Mosque Bench is 5 feet long. The right closet has the wallpaper and other tools. There are a large right angle hook on the right and left walls of the closet. Long electric extension cords hang from the right angle hooks.
In the left closet are the 2 wood ladders. They are 6 feet high and are proped against the left wall of the closet. One toward the front and one toward the back. There are also 2 oblong canister vacumn cleaners in this closet. the vacumns have attachments.
The second room and the closets for the water heaters are kept locked with skeleton keys. Mohamed has the keys in his desk in the office and extra keys in the safe in the office storage room.

When you go up the second staircase at the top of the stairs is the entrance door to the tunnel. The entrance door opens out to the platform at the top of the stairs. There is a second 3 feet x 5 feet arced dark maroon window at the top of the stairs. The window has screens and opens up and down.
When you go throught the doorway to the tunnel you must steps down 1 foot. The tunnel is 7 feet high and 4 feet wide in the inside. The walls are grey stone brick. The grey stone bricks have silver specks going through them.
The floors of the tunnels are concrete with natural concrete pavers on top. When you first enter the tunnel you are on the opposite side of the front end bathroom Centered with the 20 foot long bathroom and the ceiling is a dark grey metal framed latern with amber colored glass and cndleabra light bulbs. The ceiling of the tunnels are dark brown stained planks. The planks are tightly fitted and varnished with spar varnish which holds up from the water best. this is a ship varnish. The ceiling slopes slightly toward the outer wall on the decking above where the walk is. This way water can run off to the gutter at the end. The planks also slope gradual toward the end corner.
To the right of the latern on the outside wall there is a stained glass window. The windows are scenes from the story of "Ahmed and Ishtar". The stained glass window pictures are 4 feet wide and 6 feet high. They are fitted into the outer walls of the tunnels which go around the moats.
More about the Front end Tunnels next time.

          • The Front End Tunnels

Some Incidentials. The telephones in the Fortress bedrooms are black table telephones. They connect with the front desk in the restaurant.
In the front end basements the cabinet to the right of the entrance door to the second basement room is 11 feet long and the same design as the cabinet in the first basement room. The cabinets have 3 feet wide closets on either side and a 5 feet long cabinet in the center. The closets have 1 1/4 feet wide double doors each side and 1 shelf at the top of the closet. The center cabinet has 2 lower drawers 4 1/2 feet wide. Also 2 upper doors which are 2 1/4 feet wide. The upper cabinets have 3 shelves.
The second room has the ceiling light fixture centered on the ceiling. The fixture is shiny brass with white opaque glass cover. The light switch is on the wall to the right of the entrance door. The switch is off white with shiny brass metal plate cover. At the top of the second staircase there are 2 light switches. The right switch is for the lights in the tunnel and the left switch is for the lights in the first room. The leights can be turned on when you enter the basement and they can also be turned on or off at the top of the second staircase. On/off either way.
The basement and tunnel are mirror design on the right side basement and tunnel.
The stainglass windows in the tunnels are 5 feethigh x 3 1/2 feet wide. The stain glass windows are scenes from the Rain Forest. There may be a flower forest scene with brilliant spiders and insects. There may be the black panther in the tree. There may be the waterfalls on a moonlit starry night with trees all around and overhanging.
The first window is centered across from the front end bathroom. I decdied that the light fixtures shouls hang centered on the inside wall 5 feet up from the floor. The lights are outdoor hanging laterns which would be protected from water. They are medium grey metal fixtures with amber colored glass laterns with candle abra light bulbs.
There is a grey stone arc between the bathroom and the front end bedroom. There is another latern centered on the wall outside of the front end bedroom. Across from this latern centered there is another stain glass window.
I decided that the tunnel floors should be natural concrete and not have the pavers. This is undecided.
At the end of the front of the tunnel is the turn. At the end there is another stone arc that cuts across. As you turn there is another stone arc going from the corner to the outer wall. The corner wall goes diagonal not pointed. The inside wall is slightly curved. There is a 1 1/2 feet x 3 feet high dark maroon window on the diagonal. The window has screen and opens up and down.
Around the corner is the outer end of the front end bedroom. This is 14 feet wide. There is another outside latern centered on the wall and the third stainglass window across from the latern. At the end of the tunnel is the entrance/exit door. The door is 3 feet wide and opens into the tunnel. The tunnel doors are dark brown stain wood and varnished low lustre marine varnish. The tunnel doors have antique brass latch door handles. The tunnel doors have 6 inch x 8 inch clear glass windows in the upper half of the doors. Only the entrance/exit doors from the outside. Not the doors inside the basement. The glass windows on the doors have antique brass wire in the windows.
People like tours of the tunnels to see the stain glass windows.
Next time, the front end walks above the tunnels.

            • Decorating the Front End Tunnels

There are 2 things I did not mention about the basement rooms. First there is a bannister rail a few feet up from the steps on the left side wall of the first staircase. The rail is attached to the wall. The second staircase also has a banniter rail on the left side going up.
There are a 6 feet long x 3 1/2 feet high cabinet centered on the right and left walls of the second basement rooms. The cabinets are 1 1/2 feet deep. They have 2 center doors and a right and left door. The right doors open from the left side and the left doors open from the right sides. There are 2 shelves inside the cabinets.
Back to the Front End Tunnels. I decdied to keep the pavers on the tunnel floors. The pavers are medium grey color. Not natural color like the courtyard pavers. When you enter the tunnels from the basement stair platform you step down 1 foot to the pavers.
The windows in the tunnel have natural concrete frames. They are arced. The windows have 2 columns of stain glass panels in each arc. There is a right column and a left column. The columns have 3 windows each. The top window curves at the upper corners to the centers where there is a round part of the window with a pointed top peak. The window columns are set in an aeced concrete frame which points at the top. In between the pointed tops there is another round stain glass panel. The windows are scenes from the RainForest. They are ornate. There are a bee, an ant and a spider hidden in one of the window panels.
The window in the laundry room is 5 feet long and 3 1/2 feet high and this is the scene of the black panther in the tree in the erainForest. There are some butterflies in this scene and the tree has flowers. The frame of the window in the laundry room is also concrete frame ornate.
The windows are opposites with the windows on the other side of the front end rooms.
At the corner of the tunnel there are 2 statues of an Iblis. One statue on each side before the grey stone arcs.
There are a dark grey metal life like staue of a rat every so often in the tunnels to make the tunnels spooky. There may also be a spider web every so often with a spider in the webs. This ia to make the tunnels interesting.
The tunnels are ornate and for fun or practical use if necessary.
Next time I will do the cat walk above the tunnels.

              • More about the Front End Tunnels/The CatWalks

(There are 4 drawers along the top of the cabinets in the second rooms. The cabinets are on the right and left walls. The drawers and doors of the cabinets are 1 1/4 feet wide. The vacumn bags are stored on the upper shelf of the left closet. The right and left closets have dark brown stained plank tops. The platforms at the top of the first and second staircases are also dark brown stained planks.)

In the Front End Tunnels there are some black bats made of cloth. The bats hang from the ceilings here and there and there are a few above the windows. This is not because of Halloween. It just worked out that way. Tunnels can be spooky. There may also be an empty hornets nest hanging in the tunnels. There may also be dark green painted wagons under the windows. The wagons have black rubber wheels. They do not have a pull handel. There could be pumpkins and gourds in the wagons.
The Front End Tunnel windows are flowers from the RainForest and insects. I said there are abee, an ant and a spider hidden in each of the windows. There would also be butterflies and moths.

Outside the tunnel you go up the stone staircase on the left or right side of the overpass bridge. At the top of the stairs to the center is the building which stores the air conditioners. The building is stone tiles to match the rest of the Fortress. Instead of antique brass vents, I decided there should be leaded glass windows in the building. The windows are arced. Inside the building there are Moroccan red/brown wood slat Roman shades. The shades have a wood slat valance. The windows open up and down. The front windows are 3 feet wide. The end windows are double 2 1/2 feet wide. The back windows are double 3 1/2 feet wide. The windows have screens. In each corner of the inside of the building there are 3 feet wide x 2 feet deep closets. In the first right and left closet is where the telescopes are stored. They have to be brought outside onto the bridge to look at the stars and planets and moons. The telescopes are pretty powerful. The back right and left closets are empty for now.
You do not step up to enter the bridge building. There is a sill the entrance doors close against. The inside floor is medium brown ceramic tiles.

                • The Front End CatWalks

The CatWalks: You go up the stone stairs to the top of the overpass bridge. You walk straight ahead and turn left or right according to which side you are on. We will turn to the left.
The overpass bridge and the cat walk above the laundry rooms are 10 feet high. The roof above the laundry room is peaked. It is low at the front , goes up to the peak and then it slants back down to the 10 feet high CatWalk. At the bottom of the back roof there are gutters that go the length of the laundry rooms. The gutters run the 20 feet and at the end turn toward the outer wall where the gutters go through the outer wall and drain into the moat below.
There is a dark brown wood rails past the gutters along the edge of the CatWalks. This is because the roof goes down to the CatWalk. The railings separate the roof and the CatWalks. The railings have three rails and are divided into 5 sections. They are some ornate.
The CatWalk is 4 feet wide. The floor of the CatWalk is medium grey slate. The slates are cut rectangle sections. At the end of the 20 feet long CatWalk there are steps which go down. The steps are above the center bathrooms. The steps go down 4 feet. The outer grey stone wall goes along the 20 feet CatWalk and goes down along the stairs. The walls have rectangle cutouts all along the walls. They go up and down. The walls are 3 1/2 feet high.
At the bottom of the stairs the CatWalk continues to the end corner. The floors are dark brown planks which go from left to right. They are 4 feet long and have moldings along the inside walls and the outside walls.
At the corner it is diagonal like the tunnel below. The rectangle cutouts continue around the diagonal corner.
At the bottom of the stairs the bathroom walls are higher with the dark maroon octagon window. This is where the Chinese Roof will be. That is why the inside walls are higher. The inside wall along the Front End Bedrooms are 4 feet high.
Around the corner the CatWalk continues to the front end of the bedroom below. At the end of the CatWalk the grey stone wall turns the outer wall of the bedrooms.
You can see quite a lot from up on the CatWalk.

                  • More About the Tunnels/More About the CatWalk

I forgot to mention that there are picnic tables in the Fortress Courtyard. The tables are outside and centered with the bedroom doors of the 1st sections and the 3rd sections. This means there are 2 tables outside the bedroom corridors, then the center entrance doors and then the next 2 tables outside the bedroom corridors. The 3 rd sections are the same setup. The other side of the courtyard are set up the same.
The tables are umbrella tables. They are 4 feet diameter with 3 curved benches each. The tables are treated wood so they do not rot easily. The tops are varnished with marine varnish. The umbrella fits through the center hole into the base which is filled with sand to weight them down. The umbrellas are dark green with dark green scalloped piping edge. The tables have a matching table cloth which have the center hole for the umbrellato go through. The table cloths are also dark green scalloped with dark green piping edges.
The bannisters along the stairs in the Front End Basements are dark brown stained wood.
At the top of the second basement staircase there is a double switch to the left of the entrance door. The right switch controls the tunnel light fixture and the left switch controls the 1st basement room lights. The switches are off white and the metal plate cover is shiny brass.
The entrance door to the tunnels are 5 1/2 feet high. This is necessary because the tunnels are not a s high as regular rooms and also the step down is there.
The doors are dark brown stain with antique brass doorknobs or latches, metal plates and hindges.
When you enter the tunnel from the basement doors, you must step down. There is one grey stone step 6 inches down. The step is cemented to the concrete floor. The step is 8 inches high and the pavers start in front of the step. All the pavers are also cemented.
The exit/entrance door at the other end of the tunnel is 6 feet high. The basement and tunnel doors have concrete block door frames like the stain glass windows. There is a medium brown rectangle box above the doors inside the tunnel. The boxes say EXIT in red letters There is a medium brown smoke alarm on the ceiling centered outside the Front End Bedroom.
I measured the CatWalk above the laundry room wrong. It is actually 30 feet long. This is because I forgot the 4 feet wide basement staircases and the 6 inch walls. This means the antique brass rail along the CatWalk is 30 feet long. There are six 5 feet long rail sections. The steps that go from the laundry room catwalk to the rest of the catwalk, the steps are made of dark brown stain wood steps. There is a bannister railing on the walls either side. The bannister railings are antique brass. The steps are varnished with marine varnish.
I decided the building on the overpass bridge is made with grey sone bricks, not tiles. Also I decided there are 4 telescopes. One in each one of the closets inside the building on the bridg

                    • Some Changes/More About the Stain Glass Windows

Some changes. The courtyard tables and benches are stained Moroccan Red/Brown. They are varnished with marine varnish.
The windows of the overpass building are like the Fortress corridor windows. They are clear leaded glass on the lower part and dark gold leaded glass on the upper part of the arced windows.
The step in the tunnel when you enter from the platform at the top of the basement stairs, the inside step is concrete blocks.
In the tunnel the smoke alarm and the rectangle EXIT signs are light beige. The EXIT letters are red.
The wood wagons are dark green semi gloss painted. There are orange letters on the sides that say FARMER'S MARKET. In the wagons there is some hay. The sides of the wagons are 8 inches high. At the back there is a seat. On the seats there are rust color crysanthemums. The mums are artificial. In the wagons there are pumpkins, gourds and some apples. People can take a gourd or apple if they want. The apples and gourds are changed every other day. One of the pumpkins may be in a wicker basket. The basket goes sideways. There may be one or two dark grey metal mice in the wagons or on the lower ledge of the windows.
The wheels of the wagons are wood with black rubber rims. The front wheels are smaller than the back wheels.
There may be a mouse on the concrete step. This is not for Halloween. It is autumn harvest and the tunnels are a little spooky.
The stain glass windows have flowers, tree branches and insects from the RainForest. Some of the flowers may be maroon, yellow, white or purple or pink. There are brilliant spiders, May be a trantula once in a while. One bee or several bees. There may be spiders in webs in front of the branches. There can be ladybugs, colorful caterpillars. May be a grasshopper once in a while. And there are butterflies and moths. Of course there are ants here and there, They can be large ant, small ant or column of ant. could be colorful beetles.
The windows on the other tunnel which is to the right of the overpass bridge. The windows are similar but not designed the same.
These are idea of the Front End Stain Glass windows.
The dark marron window at the top of the second basement staircase is usually kept closed because if it rains the gutter water above may blow into the window. The gutter pipe entends out of the wall above about 5 inches and the rain water will pour out.
The windows all have clear storm windows and the ones that open have screens.
Next time, the tunnels behind the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sections of the Fortress rooms.

                      • More About the Front End Tunnels/The Side Tunnels

In the Front End Tunnels we won't have the Trantulas in the stain glass windows. Instead there may be a hairy Trantula spider on the lower window ledges or on the wagon or wall. The Trantulas are different kinds of Spiders. Aracnias I think they are. Spiders are aracnias.
On the window ledges there are rectangle antique brass plaques. The plaques are engraved and say what kinds of flowers are in the windows. The window ledges slope from the bottom of the windows to the lower walls. The ledges are concrete blocks.
In the wagon there are 3 different size pumpkins. There also is a small bushel basket of gourds. The basket lays sideways. We will not have the plant on the wagon seat. Instead this is where there is a rectangle basket with the apples in it. I decided the wagon should have a wood handle. The wood wheels and the handle are Moroccan red/brown.
Around the corner in the tunnels you come to the second entrance/exit door. This door is 6 feet high. It is dark brown stain with antique brass handle. Thie door can be locked. Mohamed has keys. There is a sill where the doors close. The door opens into the tunnels. Outside the walk along the moat wall is low like the tunnel floors. The walk is also medium grewy pavers. To the left of the walk is the oustside wall of the Front End Corridor which is 7 feet. At the end of the outer corridor wall we come to the grey stone arced opening. The arced opening is 4 feet wide. The opening is 12inch step up. Past the opening is the stone stairs that take you up to the side CatWalk which runs along the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sections of the Fortress.
Past the opening along the lowered walk is the entrance door to the side tunnels. The entrance door is centered and opens into the tunnels. The tunnel doors are centered. There is also a sill where the entrance doors close. The sills keep rain water from coming into the tunnles. Between the tunnles athe walk there are 5 crysanthemums plants in dark green plastic flower pots. The plants are dark maroon altered with rust colored flowers. The flowers are spaced.
All the outside tunnel doors have antique brass latch handles and can be locked. The locks are also antique brass.
The tunnel floors are also medium grey paver. The tunnels are the same height as the Front End Tunnels which is 7 feet high. The entrance doors are 6 feet high. In the tunnels they are grey stone walls and dark brown stained planked ceiling.
When you enter the unnel you are behind the last bedroom of the 3 rd sections. There are 2 bedrooms, the basement staircase, the bathroom, the second basement staircase and 2 more bedrooms. The tunnels are 4 feet wide but when you get to the bathroom the tunnel walls are 5 feet wide. This includes the basement staircases. This means the tunnel turns outward another foot to make it 5 feet . The stainglass window centered outside the bathrooms has 3 column sections in the windows. The windows are set in concrete block frams with the antique brass plaques on the ledges. Across from the stone staircases there is a matching octagon window like the octagon windows in the 1st and 3rd corridors. The windows are dark maroon like the windows in the corridors.
There is a brown stain Mosque Bench centered under the stainglass window in the tunnel across from the bathroom outer wall. The is a staue of a SeaGog from the story on either side of the Mosque Benches.

                        • More About the Long Tunnels

Well I like to describe the wagons better. They are 3 feet long x 1 1/2 feet wide. The under carriages and axels are Moroccan red/brown wood. The wagons are not all set up the same. They may have autumn squash in the wagons with the pumpkins.
The Long tunnels. You enter from either end. We are at the ends of the third sections. The entrance door opens from the left side into the tunnel We are at the left side long tunnel. The other tunnels on the other side of the Fortress are mirror design.
When you enter , the first part of the tunnel is outside the 3rd and 4 th bedrooms. There is a grey stone arc across the ceiling where the bedrooms meet. There is another grey stone arc on the ceiling where the stone staircase meets the outside bathroom wall. The bathroom is in the middle of the 3 rd sections.
There is a light fixture centered on the outside wall of each of the bedroom and bathroom walls. The outside walls are the tunnel wall opposite the bedroom and bathroom walls.
There is a stained glass window centered on the outer wall of the tunnel opposite the light fixtures. The light fixtures are 6 feet high. They are dark grey metal and have amber glass lantern with clear candlelabra light bulb. The light switch is on the left wall when you enter the tunnel. The switch is off white with dark grey metal plate cover. There is a switch at each end of the tunnel for the 1st and 3 rd sections.
The first 2 stainglass windows have pictures of flowers and birds from the rainforest. That means each window has 6 panels with the birds and flowers. Past the outer wall of the bathroom the tunnel is the same as this first section. There are 2 outer walls of the bedrooms and 2 stain glass windows. These windows also have pictures of flowers with birds. The flowers are the same as the first 2 windows but the birds are different.
At the other side of the tunnel is the1st section. The design is the same and the windows are same designbut opposite.
In the center of the 1st and 3rd sections there is the triple stainglass window. The windows have pictures of extinct animals. There may be trees in the stain glass pictures. These windows have nine stain glass panels.
The tunnel itself is designed like the Front End Tunnels. Concrete floor with medium grey pavers. The walls are grey stone brick. The ceilings are dark brown stain planks.
In the center section are the stone staircases that go down to the basements under the bathrooms. The staircases are on the left side of this tunnel. The staircases are 4 feet wide. At the bottom of the stairs there is a dark brown 3 feet wide entrance door to the basement. The first entrance door is to the right at the bottom of the stairs and the second entrance door is to the left at the bottom of the stairs. At the top of the stairs in the tunnels there is a 3 feet wide x 5 feet high dark maroon stain glass window. The window is the same as the windows at the top of the Front End basement stairs. They open up and down. They have screens. These are emergency windows. Well they would drop you down to the moat but I think we need them. They also have concrete block frames. May be they should be the water falls at night with the stars out and a black panter drinking from the water.
I decided tha the windows in the laundry rooms should be green bushes with dark purple flowers and the name of the Mosque Palace in dark maroon letters. The letters are curved with the arced windows.
There are more smoke alarms and EXIT signs. They are light beige. The smoke alarms are centered on the ceilings outside the bathroom walls. The EXIT signs are above the doors and the windows.
More about the long tunnels next time.

                          • The Tunnels

I changed the design in the Front End tunnels. The stain glass windows are about 4 feet x 4 feet size including the concrete frames. The windows are set in a 5 feet wide extended area. The extended sections are 1 feet out and 5 feet long. There are 3 windows in the front End tunnels. The extensions will make the tunnels 5 feet wide along these sections and the rest of the tunnels are 4 feet wide.
The dark green wagons are in the extended sections under the windows. There is no wagon under the corner diagonal window, just the windows.
The corners I changed. They extend out 1 foot and they curve out. The 1 1/2 feet x 3 feet wide window is curved. The windows are dark maroon.
The long tunnels: The 3rd sections and the 1st sections are the same. They are outside 2 bedrooms, 1st staircase, outside the bathroom, the 2nd staircase and then outside 2 more bedrooms. In the center section they are outside a bedroom, basement staircase, the center bathroom, the 2nd staircase and the next bedroom. The center section extends out 10 feet. The tunnel winds around.
The 1st stainglass window has exotic birds. The 2nd windows have exotic colorful toads, lizards and frogs.
There are extinct animals in the stainglass window outside the center bathrooms. This window is 3 columns. After the center bathroom the next window also has exotic toads, lizards and frogs. and the last window of the 3rd section has different exotic birds. The stainglass windows along the 1 st section are the same as the windows along the 3rd section. The only difference is the center windows with the extinct animals. This window has different animals than the 3rd section center windows.
The windows above the staircases are 3 feet x 5 feet size and they are dark maroon. The windows are arced.
I decdied that the ceiling arcs along the tunnel should be dark brown wood beam arcs. There is one where the 1st bedroom and the 2nd bedroom meet. A beam on both sides of the staircase and aacross the top of the staircases. There is another beam between the next 2 bedrooms. At the end of the bedroom toward the center of the tunnel , the tunnel turns to the right. This is 4 feet befoe the outside of the center bedroom. There is an arc beam at the corners on each side of the turn.
Alnog the tunnel there is a dark grey metal latern centered on each of the outside walls. When you turn the corner there is a centered latern on the wall also. The bedroom extends 10 feet out and the tunnel extends 14 feet out. At the end of the extensions the tunnels are slightly diagonal.
The outer walls outside the bathrooms are extended 1 feet wider. This means the tunnel is 5 feet wide in these areas. There is a 7 feet long brown stain Mosque Bench under the triple stainglass windows. There is a statue of a Seagog in each corner of the extension. There is a larger pumpkin on each side of the Mosque Beach. All the outer sections outside the bathrooms are like this except outside the center bathroom. This extension has statues of Iblis at each corner.
There are metal rats in the tunnels, some dark grey metal mice around. There are a few different kinds of Trantulas. And there are some black cloth bats, spiders and webs at the diagonal corners. The corners outside the bathroom extensions are also diagonal.

                            • A Change/The Center Section

In the Front End Tunnel at the cornerthere is a dark brown wood arc beam across the tunnel both ways. Between the arcs there is the curved section across from the corner. In the curved section there is a curved 1 1/2 feet x 3 feet size dark maroon window. The window opens up and down. Outside you can see the moat. There is a spray fountain out side at the corner.
On the cat walk above the dark brown planks go crosswaysuntil they get to the corner curved section. The planks are diagonal from where the cat walk meets out to the curved walls.
Now we are in the long tunnel near the center section. At the ceiling the dark brown wood arc beam goes diagonal from the inside corner out to the outer wall corner. Each corner of the center section has the diagonal beamms like this. When you turn to the right and walk along the 10 foot wall of the first bedroom there is a dark grey metal latern centered on the inside wall. The latern has amber colored glass and candle labra bulb. At the end of the 10feet wall the tunnel turns to the left. I decided that the corners of the tunnel do not have diagoanl turn. The turns are right angle turns. Along this part of the tunnel you are outside the 1st bedroom, the staircase to the basement, the bathroom, the 2nd staircase, and the 2nd bedroom. The outer walls have latern light fixtures centered on the wall. The outside walls of the bedrooms have a double stain glass window center each window. Centered outside the bathroom there is another triple window. The double windows have more flowers from the RainForest. The center triple window has a large tree with flowers . The tree is in sections.
Sometimes the cats come into the tunnels with people. They must not get locked in the tunnels.
I decided not to have any Iblis in the Front End Tunnels. In the long tunnels the section across from the bathroom is extended out 1 foot x 20 feet lenght of the bathroom. There is a 7 foot long Mosque Bench centered and an Islamic Angel in each corner. There is a larger pumpkin either side of the Mosque Bench.
The dark brown stain arc beams above the staircases to the basements are the same as the beams in the 3rd and 1st sections.
After the center sections you follow the tunnel around to the 1 st section which is the opposite of the beginning 3rd section except for the center stainglass windows which are more pictures of extinct animals. At the end of the long tunnel is the entrance/exit door to the outside. There is a sill where the door closes. Out side the walk between the moat wall and the stone steps up to the catwalk are level with the tunnel floor. At the end of the outside walk you must step up 1 foot. The pavers along the walks are medium grey pavers.
In between the exit door of the Front End Tunnel and the entrance door to the long tunnel there is a 2 inch x 3 inch hole at the bottom of the moat wall. The walk is sloped some so that rain water will flow to the hole and drain into the maot. At the walk at the end of the long tunnel there is another 2 incx 3inch rectangle hole so the rain water will run out there into the moat.
The long tunnel has 3 smoke alarms. they are center on the ceiling outside each of the bathrooms. At the entrance/exit doors there is a light beige rectangle EXIT sign. The EXIT letters are red. The EXIT signs and the smoke alarms are light beige.
Each outer wall across from the bathroom walls are extended 1 foot out. Each extended section has a 7 feet long brown stain Mosque Bench with large pumpkins either side. The 1st and 3rd sections have statues of Seagogs in the corners and the center section have stautes of Islamic Angels in the corners.
People like to go thru the tunnels when the sunshines or at night. Then they like to walk around the moat outside and see the lighted stainglass.

                              • The Tunnel Basements/Outside the Tunnels

There are 3 tunnel basements in the long tunnel. They are under the bathrooms. There is a grey stone staircase going down either side of the basements. The staircases are 4 feet wide. At the bottom landings there is an entrance door into the basements either side. The entrance doors open into the basements against the inside walls. The right side the entrance door opens from the left latch door handle and the left entrance door opens into the basement from the right against the wall. The basements are 15 feet deep x 20 feet wide. They have natural concrete floors and natural block walls. In the basements there are 2 water heaters. They are in the back right and left corners of the basements. They are in a grey brick stone closet. The doors are 3 feet wide and they are dark brown stain. The entrance doors are also 3 feet wide and dark brown stain wood. Only the water heaters are in the basements. On the other side of the Fortress the Tunnels and Basements are the same. The right and left sides of the fortress are mirro design.
In the long tunnels there are alight switch for the center lights. The light switches are located on the wall at the end of the 3rd and 1st sections on the wall at the end before the tunnel turns. the switches are off white with dark grey metal plate covers. both light switches turn the center lights on and off.
The entrance /exit door at the end of the long tunnels is 3 feet wide. The doors are dark brown stain wood. They have antique brass latch handels. The doors are 6 feet high. there is a door sill. The tunnel doors open into the tunnels. The outside tunnel doors have antique brass latch handels.
The dark brown arced beams at the corner where the tunnels turn for the center sections are diagonal on the ceiling. This is at the first turn and the turn at the end of the 1st and 2nd bedrooms. The arcs go from the inside wall to the outside corners.
When you leave the tunnels at the end of the 1st section you are onto the walk that goes between the moat wall and the stone stairs that take you up to the cat walk above the long tunnels. The pavers along this end walk are the same natural pavers like the courtyard pavers. When you reach the side of the bottom of the steps you must step up 1 foot. There is 8 inch concrete block step and then you step up another 6 inches. The 8 inch block is 2 inches below the pavers.
When you go out you can go up the stone steps along the end of the 1st section. They are at the side of the buildings. At the top of the stairs you are on the dark brown stained wood cat walk. At the beginning the catwalk is 4 feet wide. You are outside the 1 st bedroom.
                                Next time the long CatWalks.
