At the Argon Oil and Herbal Supplement Shop, Pt. 1 [01:23]
I really like this little store located somewhere in the medina of Marrakech. At the entrance women extract the argana oil through the traditional process. Fouad explains how goats climb the argon trees and devour the fruit, spitting out the pits, which are then collected and the kernels extracted to make the oil that is used in cosmetics and cooking. The Incredible Rugmakers of Fès, pt. 1 [02:28]
An abundance of skilled artisans earn their daily bread in the old medina of Fez, and I was able to watch two women at work as they created a rug before my eyes. Over 1300 families contribute to the carpet-making industry in Fès. Watch the nimble fingers of these women as they turn imagined patterns into real objects of art. Fès, Morocco July 17, 2012

1001 Nacht in Marrakesch | Der Zauber von Marokko - Marokkoreise mit Jürgen Schreiter [01:04]
MAGIC MOROCCO - TRAVEL CHANNEL MOROCCO - Thousand and One Nights | The main frame story concerns a Persian king and his new bride. He is shocked to discover that his brother's wife is unfaithful; discovering his own wife's infidelity has been even more flagrant, he has her executed: but in his bitterness and grief decides that all women are the same. The king, Shahryar, begins to marry a succession of virgins only to execute each one the next morning, before she has a chance to dishonour him. Eventually the vizier, whose duty it is to provide them, cannot find any more virgins. Scheherazade, the vizier's daughter, offers herself as the next bride and her father reluctantly agrees. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade begins to tell the king a tale, but does not end it. The king is thus forced to postpone her execution in order to hear the conclusion. The next night, as soon as she finishes the tale, she begins (and only begins) a new one, and the king, eager to hear the conclusion, postpones her execution once again. So it goes on for 1001 nights.
