With a population of more than 1 million, Fez (Fés) is the second largest city in Morocco. The medina of old Fez is the largest living Islamic medieval city in the world. With narrow streets and alleys, markets and artisans at work it is a rich tapestry of sights and sounds and smell. If you only visit one place in Morocco, this is it. It is one place where you will want to return.
