My 2 weeks tour of Morocco - Part 1. Marrakech to Meknes [04:31]
Just had a wonderful two weeks touring Morocco with OnTheGo Tours. The organisation was well thought out, our two guides knowledgable and great fun and we did the lot - the big cities, the three mountain ranges and even into the Sahara. I'd never been on a group tour before and had my worries about that format but we had a good group of people from all over and had a good laugh (and a betrothal).

Riad Dar Les Cigognes is a luxury boutique hotel and spa in Marrakech Morocco [05:26]
Dar Les Cigognes is a luxury boutique hotel situated in the heart of the medina of Marrakech. Facing the gates of the Royal Palace, this charming hotel has just 11 rooms and suites, an award-winning cooking school, a full service spa and traditional Moroccan hammam, an incredible roof garden with views of the eponymous storks, restaurant, and small boutique with a nice selection of local handicrafts.

Storks and Egrets in the Chellah ruins outside Rabat, Morocco [00:32]
Visiting "Chellah," an old Moroccan fortification that also contains roman ruins, I was surprised by the stunning number of egrets and storks that apparently use this site and the surrounding area as nesting ground during migration. There must have been easily several thousand birds all over the place. The video shows part of a hill covered with egrets and storks (the latter are larger and have black wingtips). You can hear the noises made by these birds, including odd clicking sounds made by the storks.
