From Algeciras, Paul then took a 17 mile, 1.5+ hour high speed ferry ride from Algeciras across the Strait of Gibraltar to Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the northern coast of Africa and bordering on the west with Morocco. After reaching Ceuta, Paul briefly disembarked and then returned to Algeciras on the ferry he came over on. From there, he took a 1+ hour, 18+ mile public bus ride to the Gibraltar border. Paul then walked across the border and took a taxi to his hotel in downtown Gibraltar, arriving about 8:00 pm. After staying the night in Gibraltar, on Monday, June 11, 2012, starting at about 7:00 am, Paul returned to Madrid by train from Algeciras, arriving in Madrid about 1:30 pm.
