African cobra snake charmers...in Marrakech Morocco - Micky Trip [04:06]
Foreign Correspondent Micky Trip has another installment. This time from Marrakech Morocco (Africa). Snake charmers, cobras, monkeys, traditional music and a look at the cuisine. Another great contribution from the traveling Trip family. Marrakech is known as the "Red City", and is the most important former imperial city in Morocco's history. The city of Marrakesh is the capital of the mid-southwestern economic region also the 2nd largest city in Morocco. The city of Marrakech comprises both an old fortified city and an adjacent modern city. Marrakech has the largest traditional market in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world. You will see this in the video.

The Kingdom of Morocco [03:21]
While we were staying primarily in Marrkech, the 2nd largest city in Morocco; we spent much of our time shopping in the Djemaa el Fna, one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world for that matter...bustling with acrobats, story-tellers, monkeys, dancers, snake charmers, and musicians. By night food stalls open in the square turning it into a huge busy open-air restaurant. We also spent a day hiking through the Atlas mountains where we swam and saw multiple large waterfalls. Although the running water was absolutely freezing! And finally we made our way to the Sahara desert! After a LONG and extremely HOT trip though the mountains in a broken down van... that never actually made it all the way there haha. By the end of it our camels were waiting for us and we rode them off to our camp site in the desert for the night :)

Marrakesh, Morocco ( Luis Lagunes ) [02:14]
The famous town square of Marrakech, Jemaa l-Fna, owes little of its fame to its own beauty, but to the continuous day and night life. During most of the days, perfomers of every kind put up their shows, continuing until the food stalls start to move in. Jemaa el-Fna owes most of its fame to the large number of spectacles going on all around all the time. Snake charmers, singers, story tellers, healers and fakirs attract a dominantly Moroccan audience. The food is exquisite, tasteful and much appreciated by Moroccans and brave tourists. Never forget the good rule of eating in Morocco " eat where the Moroccans eat " they know where to get good food ! Special Thanks to Eric Fleck and Fabio Pignatelli for filmed and edited this video !
