22 Southampton Surfers decided that the English weather and surf wasn't quite good enough in December, so we took a little trip to Morocco to top up our tans, catch some nice waves and generally enjoy seeing sunshine and blue skies over Christmas. Thanks to all involved who made it an awesome trip!

LGZIRA THE MAGIC BEACH REVISITED [08:21]
One of Nature's wonders in Morocco this beach is well hidden from the passers-by on the way to Sidi Ifni. There are several restaurants where the road ends just above the beach. The name is invariably spelt Lgzira and Legzira when written in Latin alphabet. It soothes senses and calms spirits. There are always surprises as when we were quite cold at end of June and almost wanted to have swim in the middle of winter. When passing through the main archway it is advisable to keep to the edge as rocks may be falling and there are no warning signs. The second archway is like a giant elephant foot. The two main attractions may hardly be visible at fist hidden in sea mist or protected by hazy sunshine. I have two other clips from previous visits but this one is more comprehensive and I had no heart to edit the footage.

Jemaa el-Fnaa is the magical square and marketplace in Marrakech, Morocco. We took some tea in a building overlooking the square and it was quite wonderful. What a view!

Our 2012 Moroccan Summer Adventure [10:04]
We've always wanted to visit Morocco. Its one of those places you often hear about but just never get around to visiting. The Spanish and French as well as other Europeans vacation there frequently. For us it was a totally new experience. The food, the architecture, the sights, smells and sounds were new to us. The Moroccans were incredibly hospitable. It was quite an adventure. One we will soon not forget. Here is a video presentation of our trip to three different cities in Morocco, Tangier, Marrakesh and Fez.
