Margarita Escarpa s'est musicalement formée dans le Real Conservatoire Supérieur de Madrid. Elle a suivi l'enseignement de Valentin Bielsa, Demetrio Ballesteros, Gerardo Arriaga, Miguel Angel Girollet et David Russel et a été parrainée par les meilleurs interprètes actuels. Elle a reçu en fin d'études académiques le Prix Extraordinaire Fin de Carrière et a obtenu ensuite une Licence en Mathématiques à l'Université Autonome de Madrid. Elle a obtenu deux prix nationaux et huit internationaux parmi lesquels le Premier Prix du « Solo Guitar Competition », organisé par la « Guitar Foundation of America » (Québec).
