Team Morocco 2011 Fund Raising [05:33]
In June 2011, 14 students from Lenzie Academy participated in a two week expedition to Morocco, as part of their Duke of Edinbugh Gold Award programme. In Morocco the team completed an arduous 4 day expedition in the High Atlas Mountain Range and took part in a 3 day community project in the Berber villages of Morocco. This video demonstrates how they managed to fund raise over £5000 for this once in a lifetime expedition. Although a famous English Fes blog reported that this was a flood, that was a bit of an exaggeration. However, it certainly was quite intense, and rose suddenly, with no real warning. I was sitting at the excellent Lonely Planet rated Thami's Restaurant near the main gate of the old medina, Bab Bujalud, trying to avoid rain drops and enjoying my dinner, when I noticed my feet a might wet. This was what I saw when I looked down.
