This is not Plaza Mayor this is Puerta del Sol. People are protesting generally in Spain, youth unemployment is at 40% in Madrid and people are suffering. They are asking for better representation, more rights, and a general improvement of their democracy. Also there is a lot of talk about the effects of capitalism on their lives and many blame the economic structure for their problems. There are massive protests in France, Morocco, and Greece. Each country has sent representatives to the others and made announcements at the protests to show there solidarity.

Meanwhile, the Labour-supporting careerist president of the NUS, Aaron Porter, parroted the same line as Hunt, spluttering: "I absolutely condemn the actions of a small minority who have used violent means to hijack the protest ... if some people think it's appropriate to use violence, it's a total disgrace, and they have completely ...
