Chapter 218 of Paul Hodge's October, 2012 video book "How to Go Solo Around the World in 47 Days" is part of a series chronicling the beginning of Paul's June 10 & June 11, 2012 30+ hour, 700+ mile extreme roundtrip adventure from Madrid across the Strait of Gibraltar to Ceuta, one of the northern most points on the African continent. Beginning on Sunday, June 10. 2012, Paul took a 8:35 am RENFE train ride from Madrid to Algeciras, Spain. The train made five stops, took 5 + hours and covered 320+ miles. From Algeciras, Paul then took a 17 mile, 1.5+ hour high speed ferry ride from Algeciras across the Strait of Gibraltar to Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the northern coast of Africa and bordering on the west with Morocco. After reaching Ceuta, Paul briefly disembarked and then returned to Algeciras on the ferry he came over on. From there, he took a 1+ hour, 18+ mile public bus ride to the Gibraltar border. Paul then walked across the border and took a taxi to his hotel in downtown Gibraltar, arriving about 8:00 pm. After staying the night in Gibraltar, on Monday, June 11, 2012, starting at about 7:00 am, Paul returned to Madrid by train from Algeciras, arriving in Madrid about 1:30 pm. Paul then took a Madrid metro to to his hotel, thus concluding his 30+ hour, 700+ mile extreme adventure at his Madrid hotel at about 2:30 pm. My awesome haircut in Morocco [06:55]
So this is a video of my haircut and shave in the countryside in Morocco. In the bigger cities they are completely different, and a lot more expensive, but I got myself a haircut with an amazing, nice barber in a small village close to where I was staying. The video contains the journey to him, some clips from the haircut, and the before/after. I played it cautious and only got a little hair cut off, mostly due to the fact that the guy ahead of me wanted all his hair shaved off, so that's why there wasn't that much hair taken off. Thank you to the barber, Moneim and Hamza for helping me with this video!!! :) Disclaimer* So, in the countryside in August the weather is really hot in Morocco, which is why I seem out of it for some of the video. The heat was getting to me, lol. Plus, outside of the city there is not a lot of air conditioning so yea... Also, looking at the video again, the way the barber gets into my hair reminds me of an artist at work, he was really cool!

An amazing 2 weeks spent with 9 amazing individuals. The weather was hotter than an oven but the hospitality was outstanding, the country full of charm and an incredible guide to name a few things. Do yourself a favour and add this country to your travel list
