A visit to Morocco in 2010 to climb Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, was followed by a journey south to the Anti Atlas to the ksar of Aït Benhaddou, then on to the Dades Gorge and the desert town of Merzouga. Here we did an unforgettable overnight desert safari by camel into the Erg Chebi region of the Sahara. We completed an amazing trip by staying in a riad in Marrakech.
