Helium Horse-shaped Balloon at the Turkish Festival
Balloons that stay aloft due to being filled with a gas less dense than air such as helium are called Gas balloons. The gas balloon was invented by Frenchman Jacques Charles. This particular Helium balloon was filmed at the Turkish Festival in New Delhi. The highlights of the Festival include an Ottoman Turkish military band, whirling Sufi Dervishes, a Turkish bazaar, Turkish cuisine, Ebru art, folk dances, calligraohy and lots more. Also, a lucky draw will be held, the winner of which gets to fly to Turkey with Turksih Airlines. A variety of Turkish musicians and dancers will perform live during the fest. It will feature hosts of events such as demonstration of Turkish calligraphy and a performance by Mehterans - considered to be the oldest variety of military marching band in the world. There will also be a water marbling demonstration and the two day fest will also include stalls at the Turkish bazaar and local cuisine. The festival is bringing authentic cuisines including kebabs, donair, vegetarian and olive oil dishes, gozleme (pancake), borek (flaky pastry), mantı (Turkish ravioli), sarma (stuffed vine leaves), drinks such as ayran (buttermilk) and desserts like baklava and popular Turkish tea and coffee.
