Tadla-Azilal

Situated in central Morocco, the region of Tadla-Azilal is home to nearly 1.5 million people and has Beni Mellal as its capital city.

Tadla Azilal region includes the provinces of Azilal and Beni-Mellal, covering an area of 17,125 square kilometers. It is well known as an agricultural region with a Mediterranean climate. The region has a long history extending by to the Idrissid Dynasty of 788 CE. It was mentioned in historical records between the 17th and 19th Centuries, where its villages, vestiges and Kasbahs were described.

Today the city of Beni Mellal is quite modern and an economic hub for the region. Visitors can purchase delicious agricultural products from the markets in the town. There is a decent selection of accommodation and many good places to eat.
