Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made VICTORIOUS WITH TERROR (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

It seems al-Qaeda has won. Why do I say such a thing? Because even the president of the United States of America admits that the goal of a terrorist is to cause terror to exist amongst a particular people. Believe me the U.S. is shell-shocked, that is, in a state of panic and in fear. You see I live in Washington, D.C. suburbs. I take the subway to work quite often and the day that the bombings were happening in London the subway beginning to resemble a military barracks than public transportation. Why? There happens to be a bag in a seat that no one is claiming! The city is suffering from paranoia horribly. I have no fear on this day even amongst all the Pentagon officers everywhere even after a week or so earlier having a security officer in the train station tell me that I am terrorist. Long beards and fearless attitudes do that to paranoids Christians and Atheists. Before I actually do see the news of the bombing in London, I know something is going on somewhere. Can you imagine being a railway passenger and seeing military men with combat rifles on your rail car? Believe me Washington, D.C. is in terror. How do I know this? Every incident that appears to hint terrorism or possible terrorism is al-Qaeda. Only a foolish citizen can believe that al-Qaeda is responsible for every suicide bombing, every railway threat and everything that goes wrong here that no one can explain right away. For example, when the electricity goes out in the northeastern areas of the U.S. which includes quite a few states, some people were under the impression that a terrorist attack is taking place only to find out the Canadians are the cause of one of the biggest blackouts, no electricity, in years. Did the U.S. send bombers to Canada! Imagine if al-Qaeda is the cause somehow, will the U.S. say it is only an accident. In fact before the bombing of the World Trade Center in September, the biggest terrorist act on U.S. soil is by a formal U.S. soldier with connections to White supremacists. U.S. has many enemies. Britain has many enemies. I can not believe that Osama Bin Laden is responsible for everything.

Is not this world simply a trial for the believer and nothing in comparison to the hereafter and paradise? What do you know really about al-qaeda? Are you al-aqeda? People say they kill innocent people. Perhaps they do and perhaps they do not. Let Allah(soubhanna wa taa'la) be the judge. Does the world need peace? Yes, it does. Is war a reality? Yes, it is. Even during the time of the Prophet Muhammad(salli allahu alayhi wa salaam), war is a part of the early history of Islam. I say that al-qaeda wins not because I agree or disagree with their methods but because leaders sych as Tony Blair and George Bush say their country is not going to change because of al-qaeda methods and they will not let al-qaeda instill fear but everywhere change is going on due to al-qeada's actions. Changes such as restricitons at the Canada/USA border, background searches for airline ticket purchasers especially if your name is Muhammad or Arabic you are definitely a target for interrogation, searching of all bags when entering bus and train stations is of consideration and announcements on buses, trains and highways to look out for and report suspicious activities. All of these things from a country that says it will not change as if the al-qaeda menance is simply a fly or something. You can not have it both ways either they are insignificant flies that you do not acknowledge or they are true terrorists which you take precautions against and because of. Many changes are going on here in the U.S. and the national terror level meter is at terror threat level elevated. This does not appear to be the response to a fly to me.
