I know this is a not a Moroccan case but there is little difference between the mentality of Moroccans & Algerians.

Are societal attitudes still really this bad?

my etiquette is a bikini for hammam the top only comes off after 1/2 hr or so,when absolutely necessary, but i let nobody wash me ever!!..and other etiquette, women i kiss on cheeks (who the hell kisses on lips?!and men apart from 2 close uncles everyone gets a handshake

i will never forget one year, my poor little bro, was about 10yrs old and he went to kiss an older lady in Souss on the cheek but she turned her head and he got her full smack on the lips, and to make things worse, she only had one big sticking out tooth!!..my mum and I nearly died laughing whereas my brother meskeen nearly died of embarassment, he wanted to wash his face w/bleach afterwards

Talking Kendra

Aaah, he got the 'soggy cheeks' effect I tend to air kiss now. I know its pretentious but unless I'm in close proximity to a sink, I can't be dealing with the sloppy kiss grip.

You know Bahraini men greet each other on the lips? Well, a Moroccan guy I know wasn't aware of this tradition so well to salam & got a sloppy bussa on the lips instead. That went down well with Testosterone Man as you can imagine
