Getting from the Cascades D'Ouzoud to Fes

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm off to Morocco on Friday and as part of my 10 day trip around myself and my girlfriend are staying overnight in Ouzoud to see the waterfalls. We're sorting our own travel out, but looking into it, it seems pretty difficult to find out how to get from there to Fes.

To save a night on accommodation we want to travel overnight and have heard that there is an overnight bus journey from Beni Mellal to Fes so we would need to get a taxi from Ouzoud to Beni Mellal.

Does any one know whether this is correct/ been on this journey before because I can't find any information about it other than in the travel guide!
