Ryanair set to develop 20 routes to Morocco
May 25, 2006 13:00
Ryanair announced today that it had made a five-year agreement with Morocco to develop up to 20 routes aimed at carrying one million passengers a year. 'Ryanair will be making many more new route announcements in Morocco over the coming months and years as we build on the solid basis which this long term agreement provides', the airline's Deputy Chief Executive Michael Cawley said in a statement. Today's news marks the culmination of discussions between the airline and the Moroccan Government which have taken place over the last six months. The agreement covers most of the regional airports in the country. Ryanair's chief rival, EasyJet is to begin flying to the Moroccan holiday resort of Marrakesh in July. Shares in the company were down six at €6.44 in Dublin this lunchtime. |

Yep, cheap flights to Tangier would be great. I have not flown direct to Tangier for almost a decade - too expensive!! I prefer to fly to GIB and take the ferry from Algeciras, although the ferry crossing is becoming quite expensive too, as fares are increasing rapidly. Hmmm, must find a new route until Ryanair (I wish!) arrive in Tanger!
