Question

Salam all,

I was just wondering if anyone has tried it before. I'm trying to save money in getting to Maroc ( as I'm off three times this year!!).

I've just tired booking, and booking again, and booking again.. and it just seems LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG to save a couple of hundred.

Is there a secret that I don't know about? Which is better Malaga or Gibraltar? Is there a coach service from Malaga to Aleciras? How much is it? Which is the best cheapo airlie to take? Should I just fly BA and be done with it?

It's all sooooo

Hey girl

Gibralter is definately the best way to go. When you get there you can get a bus to the port, its much better than going to Malaga.

Salam sis,

to be honest i don't know if there is a big saving in costs as before i got my plane ticket i was looking into this,My Spanish friend from Malaga reckons its not too bad a journey from Malaga to Algeciras is btwn 1-2hrs then you've got an hour on the boat to Tangier (no idea how long you'll wait for the boat if its peak summer )
the problem i think is that there aren't really any cheap flights to Malaga, even with Easyjet when i checked a few weeks ago for july/aug they were £150..(don't forget the ingalza buy their tckts to Spain early too now!)..i'd give yourself a good 12 hrs from here to Tangier, thats what my dads friend said, hes done it that way a few times.

personally i like to have breakfast in London and lunch in Tangier..if you buy plane tickets early enough direct to bled,it may then work out about the same price but with a day saved in travel.
hope this helps a bit, but best get advice from someone who has made this journey

Thats true, the tickets to Malaga and Gibraltar are much more expensive now! I went via Malaga 2 years ago & paid £60 for the flights and about £20 for return boat ticket.
There is a coach from Malaga station which costs about £12 return to the port.

In all I paid about £100 return I think the airlines are catching on now though

I've just booked a return flight for two adults Heathrow - Gibraltar for £130 total. Tickets were £15 per person each way, the rest is suppliments. This is for early March.

There is a bus service from Malaga to Algeciras. There is also a train. It's pretty good. Unless you are in an extreme hurry. You can even go to Tarifa and take the hoovercraft there. It's fast!

Virgin Express is pretty cheap. I don't know if they have service to Malaga though. (They do Madrid)

By the way, it's also cheap to fly from Malaga to anywhere in Morocco. There are several airliners.
