well, prizes could be nice things that can be sent to winners via mail, free concert tickets, discounts, or free membership for a magazine or sth like this! u can also give special ranks for users (i.e. special user, premium user...) or as suggested by La Casbah above u can offer trips (if affordable) or anything similar. in general, the competition may give u an idea about the prizes!
