Exclamation

I see that thread has been closed & am assuming its because Jefferson used a naughty word rather than because any of the moderators didn't feel like discussing it anymore
Anyway, I FEEL LIKE DISCUSSING this & so I will EVEN if I do it on my own

If there is a problem with certain words, then do whatever that thing is you do when words come up as stars. Children & families are not offended & we are not annoyed by having our threads deleted for the umpteenth time. Oh (& CP aside)not one of the moderators could pick up subtle darija insults so we could still do it if we really really wanted to

As for assumptions - do whatever you like cos' frankly I don't give a monkeys This place has always been one where moderators ignore one thing & make a big issue out of another thing EVEN when in essence, they are the same thing M.com's very own brand of nepotism. Utterly sickening.

BTW, don't any of you do the 'if you don't like it, go to another site' routine. This is not a dictatorship & by & large, we stick to the rules. Many of us do not come on here to insult each other. In fact there haven't been any 'incidents' for a while so don't speak to us like we're naughty schoolchildren.

Ghazala, I second your plea with a few exceptions. At times I do mind the insults. I don't like to read some typical Moroccan oversensitive male ranting and raving at some girl/woman with the two only words he has then in his vocabulary (****aat or *****at). So then action from a Moderator is required. Not just by editing or locking a thread, what's that gonna do? But do some serious warning.

I also don't like to open a thread and get all this tasteless pictures of porn. Because you know what? Sometimes I do browse around and my toddler is walking around or sitting on my lap. I don't need to see that crap then, I don't need to see that crap ever.

Malika, thanks - this is my whole point

_____________

Ghazala, Please don't think for one second that I locked up that thread because I did not want to discuss with you any further, I don't know why that thread was locked.

Anyhow, my initial point was there is going to be a filter for certain words in Darija, just as there is for English swear words... I don't want to waste anymore time in editing posts, when such can be done automatically...

As for other things, I don't touch the min ta7t ta7t hajat, because they don't contain anything obscene - but yeah, I was passing comment about my opinion of them, which I am entitled to do.

As for your last paragraph, I do not know why you have taken things so personally, I have never been aware of you breaking the COC and having posts deleted etc.. and I won't take any such thing back - if anyone does not like this forum being moderated - then there are plenty of other forums that don't have such a thing and do allow freedom of speech, no matter how outrageous the things which get written do become.

Listen people, you are all entitled to your views, however foolish they are. Truly this confirms my theory about Moroccans in general, in that they are people who cannot handle democracy. To them democracy is agreeing with the general opinion. They use excuses as family and children safety to oppress and deny free speech. These excuses are what the Bush administration (WHICH ALL OF YOU LOATHE SO MUCH) uses when they put some brainwashed monkey in a cave for two years or when they censor some program they don't like. So DO NOT BE HYPOCRITICAL and criticize Bush because you don't like his policies. ALWAYS remember that he plays by the same rules.

Anyway, I don't care about what is being said on this mediocre place, what concerns me is that my name keeps popping up. I don't like that, so please, please, please, stop using my name in your duplicitous discussions, because then I am going to have to defend myself, and someone will get hurt.

Thank you.

Where is that from? A clintons card perhaps?

Jeff- how are you going to hurt people? by calling us names...ohhhhhhh we're all shaking in our boots

I don't see your name anywhere, you are obviously crying out for attention.
