I was an middle distance athlete in early 80's not quit like Mr said Aouita Anyways today I run to stay in shapeto keep up with youngester at school and clubs level where I sometimes coach as an endurance coach. So if need advice you know where to ask . One of the first advice for any novice runner are A make sure you watch what you eat. B do some swimming and cycling. ( swimming and cycling help build your endurance meaning you can run longer distance .you store more oxygine in your bloodcells.) C run occationally on hill . D do some speed work 5* 80m . F be very patient running can be boring at the start and it can be painful at the biginning , beileve me after a while is is very rewarding.
