Laws for citizenship for the child of morocco woman

How many agree that if a moroccan woman marries a foreigner and wants to give her nationality to her child and husband she must be let to do so?
In egypt Mr. Hoshni Mubarak changed this law and gave equal status to the egyptian woman to pass her nationality to her child and husband.B4 only egyptian men marrying foreigner woman cud pass his nationality to his wife and the child.

Morocco is a country where women can get equal rights.

Do u guys think its time to imitate egypt in this regard.

The women in egypt celebrated this day when they got equal status to men.I am sure god never differentiated between men and woman.For him all r same.so why do we humans not think same and make allah happy.

Yes, the women should be accorded the same right.

In America, anyone born here is a citizen. If a visiting couple has a child in America and goes back to their country of origin, the child remains a citizen of America until he/she is 18. At that time the child, now a teenager, can decide to remain an American citizen or to become a citizen of his/her parents' country.

If I'm not mistaken, a law doing just that has been passed & is awaiting implementation.

Woen shud be treated equal and the child born in 1 state shud be able to adquire citizenship y right of birth.fter 18 the teen can decide which nationality to have.
I read the latest rules where i cudnt find anything that states such a law waits implementation.
All i cud find was the child after 19 if has stayed in morocco for 10 yrs can apply for citizenship.
As for passing the nationality to hubby he has to apply separetly and prove he stayed in country for 5 yrs straight.

I agree that Morocco should follow in the footsteps of Egypt, absolutely women need more rights in Morocco.

this law can be a exception to nations as below:
1) Palestine: who might try to marry just 2 get a state
2) gulf countries: as they might try to invest so much of thier oil money and then try to run the economy of country and make the govt do as they like.There another intrest in women wud make the females in morocoo vulnerable for their stupid carnal desires.See wot happened to US with all that saudi investment.
3)Terrorist countries.
The above countries if banned the ban must be for both morocco man and woman so equality remains.
or all other nations the woman shud be a given a green signal.

La réforme du Code de la Famille, en février 2004, a placé le Maroc dans
une ère nouvelle où les espoirs de changements sont permis. Cette réforme,
fondée sur le principe de l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes, a
vocation profonde de garantir la protection de la famille. Aujourd'hui, une
partie de la société civile se bat pour l'application effective de ce texte
et envisage de le parfaire avec d'autres droits élémentaires. Parmi eux, la
transmission de la nationalité par la mère marocaine à ses enfants, nés de
père étranger.
Privées de cette possibilité, mères et enfants sont perpétuellement menacés
d'être entraînés dans des situations douloureuses, souvent insolubles.
Nombreux sont ceux qui vivent des drames et des déchirements aussi bien sur
le plan juridique que psychologique :
- Les enfants, considérés comme étrangers, ne sont pas protégés par les lois
marocaines notamment en cas de conflit entre les parents. -
- Les mères sont tenues de subir de lourdes contraintes administratives
relatives aux cartes de séjour de leurs enfants ainsi que, souvent, de visa
pour rentrer au Maroc.
- L'impossibilité de porter la nationalité de la mère donne aux enfants l'
affreux sentiment d'être rejetés par un pays qui est le leur et d'être
victimes d'une injustice qui les prive d'une partie de leur identité.

Vivant au Maroc ou à l'étranger, cette population, de plus en plus
nombreuse, revendique le droit à sa nationalité. En leur refusant le droit à
la nationalité, le Maroc sacrifie une partie de ses enfants. Et nie une
partie de la citoyenneté de la femme.

Avec Femmes du Maroc, nous lançons un appel à nos concitoyens, aux
associations, aux organismes, aux institutions et à toute instance privée ou
étatique afin de signer une pétition en faveur de la transmission de la
nationalité par la mère marocaine à ses enfants nés de père étranger.
