It's my understanding that the Sunnis are worried about being under-represented in the new Iraqi Government. Or perhaps the Shia will mistreat them in some way because of the Shia majority.
As far as Sunnis being treated unfairly or being discriminated against by the Shia, couldn't the Iraqi Constitution (once it's written) address these matters? Could someone give me an example of some point of contention between the Sunni and Shia that will present a major problem; given that the Shia will control a majority of the seats? Any Comments? Thanks. |
