Today is a sad day, without you.
Last night was a sad night, without you.
I woke my pillow damp with tears shed, for you.
I sit alone on the beach just thinking, of you.
Gulls soar overhead their plaintiff cry echo mine, as I call for you.
The mournful toll of the lighthouse bell calling time, as I wait for you.
The ebb and flow of the sea on shore, how I long for you.
Its rhythmic sound sooths my soul, how I miss you.
I sit and wait I know in vain, just for you.
But you are gone and I’m so alone without you.
