Glorious Earth

Glorious earth.

This glorious Earth, our planet.
Like a magnificent sapphire
Suspended in the darkness
Of the endless universe
God’s greatest masterpiece.
Imagine a world restored to her real beauty
Stately trees seem to brush the deep blue sky
Billowing clouds form majestic peaks
Songs of birds fill the air
Forming symphony upon symphony
Lush fields of verdant green hold
A myriad of coloured blooms
Their scent blowing on a gentle breeze.
The vastness of the oceans
Its wonders that dwell within.
God’s gift to us to treasure and enjoy
To hold in trust for those who follow

This is our Glorius Earth. A thing of beauty.

This is really nice that we live now and get to see things like this that earlier peoples could not. Just like a bright blue saphire in the heavens.

Yes WQ, the technology now avaiable to see these things and share them with others is as amazing as the very images themselves. This view of the Earth it did look to me like a magnificent saphire and that's what inspired my poem.
