James 4:13-17.

James, a brother of Jesus who at first thought Jesus was crazy.... but later came to believe Jesus to be the Messiah when Jesus resurrected and appeared to him (1 Corinthians 15:7).

He rose up to be the most prominent leader of the church in Jerusalem, and died just before the Romans besieged the temple of Jerusalem and eventually destroyed it (66-70 AD). (Started under Vespasian and completed by his son Titus, a Roman general -- Vespasian went to Rome and became emperor)

James was known to be a man of prayer and practical wisdom. In the letter bearing his name, he introduced himself as a servant of Jesus Christ (James 1:1).

In the passage above (4:13-17), James advices us not to be arrogant considering life is short and uncertain. Worldly boasting for the future is wrong. We are taught to say "If the Lord wishes"... or God-willing.

-------------------------------------------

Lately I have been counseling a friend who has lung cancer and bedridden. He asked how long he still has to live. Until tomorrow or another two years, no one knows, I replied. But we made sure he received Christ in his heart. The last time I saw him was Thursday night 10:30 pm. The last word I assured him was "the Lord is with you." He died early Friday morning -- June 3, 2005.

Life indeed is short and uncertain. I am glad he graduated: leaving this old body in exchange for the glorified body (1 Corinthians 15:53-54).

Earlier on, I asked him to say "Hi" to my dad when he get to heaven, and he said, "I will."

Heaven is a beautiful place: filled with glory and grace!

I love Muslims and I want them to come to heaven with me.

BTW, angels escorted my dad to heaven (Luke 16:22; Hebrews 1:14).

To all Muslims, Jesus extends an invitation : "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you REST" (Mt. 11:28).

It is one thing wanting people to come to Heaven with you. It is another thing to be a religious fascist, which you are Theja. You think that you are right, and cannot respect others and want to FORCE your beliefs onto them. Can you not accept that as you love Christianity, Muslims loves Islam, Buddhists love Buddhism. How would you feel if I quoted this verse of the Koran to you :
"
57:1 All that is in heaven and earth gives glory to Allah. He is the Mighty, the Wise One.

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He ordains life and death and has power over all things.

He is the first and the last, the visible and the unseen. He has knowledge of all things.
"

Does it stir you or do you not believe it at all? Ofcourse it means nothing to you. By the same token if you quote Luke , Matthew , whatever to me , it means nothing. The bottom line is RESPECT for other faiths. If you were a true Christian you would be preaching to Hindus, Jews, Buddhists but you only choose Muslims because of your past and personal vendetta

C'mon, anonymous, I find you a reasonable person... and now you're alleging 'force' on my part. I am not forcing anybody: I am only extending the invitation of Jesus to all readers.

Let me put a little context concerning my dad. He was in bed not knowing whether he will recover. Years earlier Jesus appeared to him in a dream and invited him to follow Him. Again in a dream someone came announcing to him: your name has been written in heaven. This time in his sick bed, two angels appeared and asked my dad if he is willing to go 'now'. It felt so sudden that my dad asked for a few more days on earth. "Eight days", the angels replied.

Exactly eight days later, my dad peacefully left this troubled world to his heavenly abode.

This world is temporary. This world is not my home.

If this is *truly* what you are doing then you will do so 1) with love and 2) respectfully.

I have seen many wonderful Christians spread the word of Christ. Some of my dearest friends are Christians. But you are just a spiteful , sarcastic woman who has a deep hatred for Islam.
