I am quoting from memory what I quickly saw on the news two days ago: Saudi Arabia contributed $30 millions, Kuwait $10 millions, UAE pledged $20 millions. If it's still there go see http://www.bloomberg.com and click on the article on Tsunami -- it lists countries that donated, also lists missing and death by countries. (I do a little bit of online business, so I go there quite a bit).

Israel is not listed, but they have dispatched teams to identify the dead bodies from dental records, etc.

In the US some NGOs are collecting so much funds that the debate is now on "if they should ask donors to stop giving" for the Tsunami related cause.

I wasn't speaking of Israeli nationals, having private fundraisings, I was asking about the government of this country.

Sure, many countries from the Khaleezj, won't give a dime, or maybe that is just all they give..... But hey!!!! Doesn't the West consider Israel as a civilized establishment and any Arabic country as a bunch of savages?

The points is: when someone asks what did so and so do, don't answer with "well depends on what flan and flana did". Because that is just a lousy excuse to say it did nothing............

The moral of my rambling is that intolerance works both ways. You can't expect tolerance from the party you are intolerant with.

Zionism is racism and intitutionalized apartheid. Just because a majority of the Jews support Zionism does not make it valid.

Israel robs the American tax payers over 3 billion dollars every year and 10s of billions of dollars wrested away from Germans and Swiss so I am surprised all they could come up with was PR stunts to show on live TV CNN. Then again most of the money I assumed is used to pay for propoganda.

Right after the Earthquake in Baam, Iran over $1 billion dollars were pledged by Western nations. However in the end only $15 million dollars were recieved.. Propoganda is quite different from reality.

Not so, this is your opinion and that of Israel's enemies, which does not represent objective truth, the UN has long since nixed a resolution, equating Zionism with racism.

ADL once did a study which showed the more people learn about the Middle East conflict , the more they support the Palestinian viewpoint.

As far as UN is concerned Isreal is the worst violators of UN general assembly resolutions. The only reason UN security council resolutions are not passed against Isreal is that the US vetoes them. Just the like Isreal steals billions of dollars of US tax payer moeney every year.

Zionism is racism but at the same time I believe Israel is a fact of life, has a right to exist and pending a just resolution of Israeli-Palestinian conflict all the Islamic nations should recognize and accept the Zionist State of Israel.

It is very important to stop all forms of violence as violence only helps the oppressors. Israel breeds on violence.

I don't know about this study but it does not prove much, this could be the result of more effective propaganda on one side. Don't confuse correlation with causal effect, a common mistake.

Let's talk about those UN gen assembly resolutions: Israel's enemies (mostly banana republics ) constitute a majority at the UN, they band together, completely ignore islamic suicide murderers, and pass one-sided resolutions against their enemy, Israel, and then they wave the banner of the UN and say "see? Israel is a violator of UN resolutions", meanwhile, major human rights violators across the world, including Saudi Arabia, barely get a mention in those assemblies. Nice resolutions!

I did not know that zionist had now become a race. Zionism is a concept like Apartheid, not a race. It is a belief born out of one interpretation of Bible and Western, European colonialism. Not all Jews believe in Zionism though most do. Would you like to read quote from the founder of Zionism (Theodore Herzl), if anti-Apartheid activists like Desmond Tutu are not good enough for you?

Yes, it is sad that Palestinians resort to suicide bombing. But then again Palestinians do not have US made F-16s, F-15s , 200 nuclear weapons and the Jericho delivery system like the Israelis do. Do you believe if the Palestinians had this weaponary they would ever resort to suicide attacks??

By the way its not only "Islamic .." , George Habbash and Laila Khalid were Christian Palestinians and many others like them have been part of this movement.

But like I said before Israel has a right to exist now. The Palestinians and rest of Arab world should now work with Israel for a just and lasting solution to the conflict. They need to swallow this bitter pill and live in peace with Israel even if it is a racist state.
