Is it a true story, then?

Remember the only thing I know about it is that theja's posting it around VCI (a fact which would give me a jaundiced view of anything ).

BTW talking of others' misfortune, did all the Holocaust denial that got posted on the Open Board fill you with a similar sense of upset at other posters? I'm just curious... I can't seem to remember reading much comment from you on the subject.

Voltaire, what made me rent the movie is beyond your concern. Curiosity and a thirst to learn. I wanted to have a glimpse of Afghanistan from the movie.

As for the point, THAT RELIGION IS USED TO OPPRESS AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WEAK AND POWERLESS. Or let's say, religion is abused.

For such an act (in desperation to survive), the grandmother, the mother, and the girl, need not surrender their rights to say no to a lustful old man who appear religious but is a pervert.

While in the movie business.....

Anyone here if you can find the movie: SHALL WE DANCE (the original Japanese version dubbed in English subtitles), please rent it for a pleasant evening or afternoon.

So good that an American version has been produced -- I have yet to see it, but heard not quite as fun as the Japanese one.

Plus, please see "THE KING AND I" first for a music background ( the Yul Bryner version, not the latest one) if you haven't seen it yet. (where the king of Thailand (Yul Bryner) danced with an English lady teacher to the tune: "Shall we dance").

WONDERFUL.

[To Jer : I have seen "FIDDLER ON THE ROOF" a classic favorite. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will watch again.]

Now if someone question why movies are discussed here, my point is that they can be both fun and educational .... and that religious people are entitled to have some fun without feeling guilty. LOL .....

Poor theja
I never knew you hate Islam so much that you have to go around and speak about it in many forums the way you did hahahhah i am falling off the chair poor you poor you.
Let me tell you the good news and make very simple for you so you may understand.
All scriptures sent By God to all prophets are Holly and must be respected and Nor you or me acn change that unless God decide to give you that pleasure as a messenger.
When dealing with the Quran you are actually dealing with Judaism and Christianity as a whole as well as Pagants and Atheists so of course you will find the similarity God does not sent Messengers with conflicting messages, it's people who change the laws.
Like what Jesus(pbuh) said to the Jewish chiefs when he was preaching about the Love of God and the justice and when asked if he could donate money to Romans or accept sacrifises.
he said the coins have Roman faces on them if you love them give them the money back if you love God do go to him and then concluded:
" curse on you people(chiefs of Israel) who add heavy loads onto poor people's back while you are sitting doing nothing"(my own translation from the movie Jesus son of GOD).
Finally regarding your propaganda. a propaganda that is based on hatred and lies is like a blind man who is in deep sea and can not see his arm
Peace
I do not wish a reply from you because you have your belief which i repect and I am have mine and wish you can do the same
thank you
