Mchica, the point is not who is writing the bigger check: the point is 'is there real concern and care translated into action?'
Besides, that was only a first/quick response. The President is promising more help. Again, I don't want to make it look like its a competition. It is not. Over time, America will spend more on helping them. Red Cross, Red Crescent, Salvation Army, World Vision, etc.... many non-profit organisations are moving in to help. Just an info. |

To All.......
Happy New Year!!!!!!
May 2005 bring plenty of pleasant surprises across your path. About 10 minutes before the New Year, my family read Psalm 37:1-6, had a moment of prayer, expressed our wishes for 2005, clinked glasses as we drank apple cider, and waited for 12 midnight watching the New York ball fall to the last second..... 7...6..5..4..3..2...1.... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...30/?hub=Health RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Polish twin girls who were separated by Saudi doctors in an 18-hour operation are recovering in the intensive care unit and will be roused from general anesthesia in less than 48 hours, the official Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday. After the surgery, the twins' mother, Wieslawa Dabrowska, told the Polish "Fakt'' tabloid that the offer of surgery from Saudi Arabia was "like a fairy tale.'' Monday's operation was the ninth of its kind at the Riyadh hospital. The last one was early last year when doctors successfully separated 8-month-old Filipino conjoined twin girls who shared an abdomen, pelvis and lower organs. |
