By law this particular country does not allow evangelizing or converting of its chosen people.
Does this ring a bel?
Calling the kettle black eh?
I didn't know you were a bold faced liar as well an hypocrit, please tell me where you find that Israeli law forbids conversions, and remember, I never hid the fact that I personnally didn't like missionary work, so don't confuse public sentiment with law, if you are intellectually capable of doing so. On another note, I never insulted an entire arab society with overall demonization ("true fascists") as you are doing against my society, but please go on and reveal more of your ugly hatred.

Kautar, you're right to say that not all Christians are sincere. Sure thing. One day God will test their works with fire and anything not of gold, silver and precious stone qualities will be burnt.

Also there there are those whose hearts are not transformed but still call themselves Christians. These kinds leaves many bad examples and confuse non-Christians. That is why Jesus pronounced a DISCLAIMER: Matthew 7:21-23.

Q. Are missionaries a problem in Israel?

A. Yes. An increasing number of Christian missionary groups - most of them based in the United States - have targeted the Israeli Jewish population for conversion, and “Jews for Jesus”-type churches now exist in every large Israeli population center. There are over one hundred such institutions and ministries in Israel today.

There are American Muslims, French Muslims, British Muslims and so forth so you can’t really prevent those Muslims from proselytizing in their own countries, unless you assume that Muslims living in the west only originate from Muslim countries and that of course would be a silly assumption.

But let’s be honest here, Israel allows this type of freedom to Christian missionaries only because a enormous chunk of American donations to Israel come from this community.

Rocam, Israel allows Christianity to function unhindered because it is a democratic country. It is the only democratic nation in the Middle East, I might add. Therefore America has a special interest in Israel.

Historically America has promoted democracy around the world and helps those that are struggling amids undemocratic neighbors.

As Coopharess pointed out, most (is it all?) Arab countries are dictatorial. Now with dictator Yasser Arafat gone, Palestinians are beginning to taste elections. It may not be perfect, it may struggle, but its a start. With proper government, the Palestinians should get a Statehood and begin to dream again -- good schools, education, medical care, jobs, respect, prosperity, etc. For too long they have lived in anger and poverty. Its time for them to rise up.

Yes, there will be a season of peace for the Palestinians. Its coming. God is showing His love and care for the Palestinians. God loves both Arabs and Jews equally -- only it is "we" who prevents God from showing His love to us.

"good schools, education, medical care, jobs, respect, prosperity, etc."

That may have been a fairy tale under Yasser Arafat, know that he is out of the way, let us wait and see what new leadership can do. Too soon to tell.
