Right on Simple. Cook pork a certain way, skim the fat off the gravy, and enjoy....yyyuuummmmmm....

God is not mad at me for eating pork. But I will offend God if my heart is evil.

Mchica, please tell me where can I find camel meat in Southern California? Any halal store I can get it? I want to try it.

Earlier on, Mulood also asked about drinking wine. The Jews uses real wine in many of their celebrations.

As for Christians, it is discouraged, because a weak person may get addicted. But even if someone drinks, he has not sinned. DRUNKENNESS is always condemned though.

The point is not to be controlled by any human desire, whether food or drinks. To the person who is responsible and exercises self-control an occasional wine adds pleasure to the dinner or to the party.

By responsible and self control, I mean someone who....

does not get drunk, does not drink and drive, is not into alcoholism, and spend very little money on wine.

Every year my family drink Champaign on Thanksgiving. God is good.

I've heard some people say that it's forbidden according to Old Testament, which the jews use, and that they rely on New Testament. But in fact the New Testament says also not to eat pork.

In the book of Leviticus, chapter 11, v. 7, it is says that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers.
Then, in verse 8, God says: “You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you”.

This is repeated in Deuteronomy 14:7-8 and then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17.

Peace and Blessings upon all of you. I must apologize to Andalus for I was attempting to respond earlier but kind of forgot how to use the message board........and accidentally recorded jamal as the subject originator.

I thank all responders for their input to open-up and exploration of this topic.
