I read that this movie by Mel Gibson is showing in several Muslim coutries and packing movie houses -- along with pirated version CDs selling like hot cakes.

Anyone seen it?

Yep, I went 2 days after it opened and I loved it. It all felt so real! I was pretty hysterical during the movie but afterwards I just felt so happy b/c I saw how much he loves us. It was a great experience and I would see it again.

Not at all anti-Semitic, is it? Nope. In fact, hearing JEsus speak a Semitic language and celebrate Passover gave me a deeper appreciation for how Jewish he was. (EVen though Aramaic is closer to Arabic that Hebrew, ha, ha.)

<---- Muslim

hi there

I saw it on pirated DVD (I could not wait until it hit UK cinemas )- very good film, though there were a few scenes I did not understand, such as the Devil holding an ugly child, while the character of Jesus was being tortured..

peace..

Mel Gibson took a few liberties in artistic expressions, such as a crow beaking on the other thief on the cross assailing Jesus for not delivering them, Mary wiping blood on the floor after Jesus was flogged, etc.

But on the core the message remain true to the Gospels, because of which Christians praised and some even endorsed the movie.

Concerning satan with a baby, it is meant as an imitation of Mary with the boy Jesus. Satan imitates everything God does. He circulates fake notes. That is why Christians are very careful to scrutinise every claims with Scripture.

"Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).

False prophets are wolves in sheep's clothing (disguise, or con artist), etc (Matthew 7:15-20).

In the early part of the movie you will see a serpent sliding toward Jesus and being stepped on by Jesus. Well done!

Satan is represented by a serpent in Genesis 3. The serpent successfully tempted mankind to fall into sin. Now God must raise up mankind to defeat Satan. After the first creation of Adam and Eve all mankind are born through women.

God said to Satan that the "seed" of the woman will one day strike on the serpent's head, meaning to defeat satan (Genesis 3:15). Jesus was the only man, born of a woman (Mary), who defeated Satan. Because Jesus was sinless.

The miracle of the virgin birth. Biologically a woman has no "seed" of her own. She cannot get pregnant without "seed" from a man.

Mary has no seed on her, but was implanted through the Holy Spirit by a divine act. This is to show the incarnation of Jesus, God become man (John 1:1,14), and was sinless on earth.

THEJJA

DO YOU BELIEVE MUSLIMS RESPECT JESUS?

DO YOU THINK MUSLIMS WILL GO TO HEAVEN WHEN THEY DIE?

Salam all,

I havn't been to see the Passion yet, I thought it might be a bit weird to see a girl wearing hijab in the Cinema, so I'm waiting for the DVD.

I've recently been reading the bible and basically learning more about Eisa (Jesus) A.S. Just a question, I've asked this question soooooo many times, but have failed to get a definative answer.

Can anyone explain to me the concept of the father, son and holy spirit to me based on christianity.

Thanking you in advance.
