How's everything going??

Speaking of prayers, Theja, I was wondering if you have ever prayed for something really, really big. I'm wondering because I'm praying for something HUGE right now, but I don't want to say what it is yet. I didn't realize how risky it is to pray for big things. I didn't realize I was putting all my potential disappointment and disillusionment and feelings of alienation from God by praying for something huge, specific, and out of my control. WHat are your thoughts on this?

Greetings to you all -- and thanks. Life is good. Honestly I sense a promotion from the Lord in a spiritual way --- will share the specifics in future.

Just now my son complained of stomachache, and after prayer he is fine now.

Zuleika, good to see you -- virtually.

Oh, yes I believe in praying for big things. It may be big to you, but very small to God. The point is can you handle it.

That said, make sure what you are praying over/for is 'the will of God'. If yes, then one of two ways --

1. You need to pray until the assurance is given in your heart.

2. After prayer, commit it to God and wait for the fulfilment.

Whatever it is, I offer my prayer on the project you have at hand. I lift you up before the Father to grant you wisdom and discernment on the matter.

I'm glad you said its out of your control. Remember the inclement weather was out of the disciples control and they panicked (Matthew 8:23-27) -- and Jesus calmly brought the matter to rest.

Also sometimes your vision/request will go through 'death' and then 'resurrection'. So learn to resign in God's will. Will explain a bit more later.

Thanks, Theja, and keep praying. This one needs all the help it can get.

I'm confident that it's God's will in the ideal sense. I can think of one example in the Bible when something like this happened. And yes, I've got through that 'death' and 'resurrection' many times since I started praying for this about 2 and a half years ago.
