Hello everyone!!
This coming December my husband and I are visiting Morocco/Agadir for 2 weeks and we would be so happy to meet a friendly family there. We don´t need accomodation but we´ll be very glad to meet new friends(especially married couples/families) who are ready to share with us the main attractions of the city, their interesting culture and traditions. If you like more info about us, just drop a longer and shorter e-mail.You can also view my profile and read a bit about the place we live. We´ll answer back all honest families/married couples who wish to know us better and believe in sincere friendship. Hope we can become friends soon lots of greetings from Northern Europe friendsinfinland |

i know us moroccan are known for our hospitality....but still........ur beggin it....u aint doing a favour to an moroccan by sleeping in thier house eating thier food....if u wana come to morocco...theres plenty of hotels that offer traditional services........that way u will be supporting an entire family by your contribution to paying for your hotel, food...etc etc....
thank you for reading-and greeting from ur freinds from london |

Oh,I think you COMPLETLY MISSUNDERSTOOD my message.
Haven´t you notice that I STATED that we ALREADY HAD BOOKED our accomodation at a hotel and I DIDN`T EVEN MENTION ANYTHING about having a meal in someone´s home??? Anyway,I was really disappointed by our trip in Marocco, everyone was just too pushy as they noticed we were foreigners and I really hated to hear all over we moved around the VERY RUDE "WHERE ARE YOU FROM?" or even worse "BUY THIS BUY THAT!!!" For all foreign tourists visiting Morocco I would advice NOT TO TURN THEIR HEADS and NOT ANSWER to the locals who are only trying to take profit of tourists. They only want your money and are not interested in real friendship so please be aware!!!!! |

We also visited Marrakech,Essaouira and Tiznit but people´s attitude tward tourists were not much different than in Agadir,unfortunately...
Morocco has a lovely climate even in winter time, but we were really frustrated with people´s behaviour...Perhaps it´s just a question of culture? |

Sorry you didnt have the best time.
Its always going to be like that in major tourist places. Locals wanting to make a buck. Fear not - they are the same with fellow Moroccans from other parts of the country or Europe. Its just a question of being hard & refusing to buy anything or go anywhere you're not interested in. You would have been better off moving off the main tourist trail - then you would've seen Real Moroccans who don't just want to over-charge you on some souvenirs. |
