Teachers' salaries in Morocco

Could someone tell me what the teachers' salaries are nowadays in Morocco. I want to know what the average salaries are in Moroccan Dirham for:

1. Primary school teachers
2. Secondary school teachers (1er Cycle)
3. Secondary school teachers (2eme Cycle)
4. University lecturers

I am not looking for a job, I just want the information for comparison purposes.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Sorry Momo...I don't know the answer to your query. Have you tried to google it, I found something which said around 10000 dirhams a month but it was out of date. I think I read somewhere recently that teachers in Morocco were on strike due to poor pay and working conditions. So I don't know if that has any baring on their salaries now.

Thanks for the info Arwen. I didn't think that it would be that high. Unless if it has gone up significantly over the past few years. I do know that there are significant differences in salaries between primary and secondary. Anyway, thanks again. I will look it up.

Well don't take it as true, It could be way off the mark. Does it also depend on the ammount of experience the teacher has? maybe.

Hi Momo. I cant give you exact price because it differs from teacher to another according to their Pay Scale. but 10000MAD as Arwen said thats impossible.

1. Primary school teachers : Start Salary will be about 3000MAD
2. Secondary school teachers : Start Salary will be about 4000MAD
3. University lecturers : it depends because some give lectures by a contract signed between them and University.

Just to add that some primary school teachers can get more than secondary school teachers get because of the scales of each one.

I hope i helped out even if i know that my anwser has come late...
