Im assuming banks etc will change UK pounds, or is it better to bring Euros or Dollars

Hi Marky, I had no trouble at all changing pounds sterling. I used a bank, I think it may also be possible to change money at the airport.

Also the hotels change pounds at the front desk at a similar exchange rate.
