Red face How do I marry my Morrocan man ?

Hi,

I have recently become engaged to a Moroccan man living in Morocco.
I am a British citizen and live in the UK and would like advise from someone who has gone through the whole procedure. What papers do I need ? Where can we get married ? Do we need to go to the Embassy in Rabat ? I think some of the advise I have been given relates to obtaining a visa for him, we are not looking at that yet, at the moment I am only concerned about getting married, please help ! Thanks

Dont do it, lol! Nah just kidding.....I think everything you need to do is from the UK. They will advise you at the the British embassy of what to do. I think you wil need to get married in Morocco 1st and things should move on from there....Hope that helped

Requst for admin:

can we get forum for westerner ppl's who are ´hooking up` and marrying Moroccans (AKA ´honey, give me a visa/green card 3fak` board)? A bunch of the boards are being marred with this kinda threads.

Ruby,
Mulood is correct. Sit down with one of the kind ppl at the British embassy, they shall guide you through all of your steps.

With a lot of running around it would seem

I agree the best thing to do is to talk with the embassy, but I know that it takes about 3 weeks to get all the paperwork in order, stamped by the various bodies, apppointments with judges etc etc....so make sure you give yourself plenty of time!
