Moroccan Wedding in London! Can anyone help?

Hello all,

Been registered on this site for a few years now but haven't posted in a very long time
But I'm back with a bit of a dilemma and could use your guys help pls

Well my sisters getting married next month on the 22nd of July, we're having the wedding over here, in London, and we could do with some advice on how to find people that can provide a Moroccan wedding experience in London.

Specifically and on the top of our priorities are a Moroccan Wedding Band: My sister wants a sunni wedding so she wants a women only wedding band that wont play musical instruments apart from the drum and sing all the wedding classics that us Moroccans are familiar with 'Ha hiya jat lala laroussa' etc

Preferably they'll have nice voices as well and not be too high pitched or too deep - I know you know what I mean!!!!!

If worst comes to worst we'll have a male band but put them in a separate room or in the corridor or something!!!

Pls help!! Plus if anyone knows of any ziyanat or negaffat let us know. Obviously they need to available on that date and be within reasonable distance to Central London where the wedding is taking place.

i dont know of any female bands in UK, i kno cheb nacim used to do weddings and parties, i reckon u mite have to go with males, ask in my forum aswell theres quite a few london moroccans in there they mite know.

This might sound silly but its worth a try, try asking the owners of mamounia (shisha place) in bayswater..cause i have been there at times when they had live Moroccan singers....They should have a few contacts.....

Its not the ideal solution but somtimes life is a hustle.....

yea cheb nacim is often the singer who is down bayswater, he has a myspace page u could message him, add my myspace www.myspace.com/la_casbah_com , hes on my friends list somewhere.
