mullionel, I have extreme doubt in what you say. Initially you posed a question that you supposedly already knew the answer to in lieu of the rest of your post. Also, the contents in the description of what you detailed happens to your wife and yourself hardly seem plausible.

Unfortunately, the education that many Moroccans need is not necessarily academic. Most of these people - if not all- do know that these behaviors are wrong and unethical yet they do them, which really doesn’t leave room to many options as a solution.

I’m positive he’s not looking for answers to the question but rather reactions. This problem should be acknowledged in Morocco, should be taken seriously by authorities and dealt with by all means necessary. Although I’m a strong believer in Freedom, but I believe unfortunately that many Moroccans are not ready for it yet. Education IS a key solution to the issue for a long run timeline but it is not enough to get short term results.

I've not heard of any violence the last years. I do remember a friend of mine and her husband got attacked in Rabat, but their situation was reverse. She was married to a gringo. And it was in the nineties when that was still sort of a no no.

Nowadays Moroccans don't care anymore our women marry foreigners. They applaud both sons and daughters to fish up a gawri(a) for greencard and other residency papers.

If you are charged double, it is like Malik says, it is because they know you have the money to spare and they want their piece of the pie! Can you blame 'm? They're stuck there.

Any idea how many Moroccans apply every year for the greencard waver programm/lotto? Any ideas how many Moroccans get 'm? It's scary!
