I dont think there are certain actions or anything to point out wether he loves you. If he loves you ull feel it there will be no question about it.

look at your parents, they dont love eachother, theyre together cos of routine, cos of family, cos this is what you have to do in life, settle down and make family, 'love' wares off after a couple of years.
