Western Sahara authorities sign eight oil and gas agreements with British companies

[File] Khaddad

Mohamed Khaddad, the Polisario Front's chief negotiator with the UN and an adviser to Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz, signed eight gas and oil agreements with nine British companies on Thursday (16 March) in London. The firms include Premier Oil Plc, Europa Oil and Gas, African-owned Ophir Energy, and Encore Oil Pl.

According to Khaddad, the oil deals would take effect when Western Sahara is recognised as an independent state by the UN. "We have to prepare our state, especially in the field of oil and gas," he told Reuters in an interview. He expressed hope that the British government would take note of the deals and represent the interests of these British companies in supporting the territory's independence. (Reuters, APS)

Thats another polisario's trick to twist UN's arm, push them ( britain ) support their claim for an independent state, puttin one foot on the other dry side by this deal...impossing thier claims onto an undeniable fact.

Exclamation Rotflao.

Trick? It's not a trick! Companies like Premier Oil are making solid business decisions. The writing is on the wall for Morocco's illegality!
