Religion (again)

Didn't want to make this a poll, more of a discussion really. ?Well, I'm of the view that following a religion can be a good thing or bad thing - it depends on the personality involved. ?Obviously we have all met people who practise their religion to the letter, live a life of goodness, charity, humility whatever and are virtue personified. ?There are others though who I think use religion to impose upon themselves some kind of moral "guideline" which they don't themselves always follow. ?Just thinking of a couple of personal cases: ?I knew a (very intelligent) guy in America who was once in prison (for drugs-related charges) but was born and brought up to worship the Pentecostle Christian church. ?At the time I knew him he was reading the bible daily to control his "urges" (whatever they were) but then suddenly I heard that he'd "gone off the rails" again. ?I don't know the exact details but it seemed strange. ?Also a person I know at work who has daily bible excerpts emailed to her about four times a day is hardly functioning properly in the "real world" (she's been written off "sick" for the past four months). ?Also growing up as a kid I remember some regular church-goers and practising Christians who were hardly charitable in their behaviour. ?

So that is why I'm sceptical about religion, to me it can be just another crutch in one's life that is often used to avoid facing the true underlying problems in one's character or life. ?I think religion can provide comfort during certain crises in life for so many people and also serve as a moral example - and who knows maybe one day I may change my view and "discover" religion (but I doubt that) - but then again sometimes it cannot. ?

I have the fullest respect for people who do implement religion in their personal life, so long as they're not trying to make out they are in some way superior than someone who doesn't practise, and even worse, is hypocritical in their behaviour. ?

God is one and he has one religion. his request is simple and he is the Grand judge. he sent prophets to guide people. So because God is most merciful he feels sorry for us and does not punish us right away and that is for one simple reason. that reason is as follows:
He gave you the brain and the wisdom to use with care. you have a certain numbers of years to live your life and to show how good you are .and once you return to God he shall be Judging you for every single act done on earth.
I think that is very fair.
How shall you know about God??????? just look at how OXygen enters your body and gets distributed without a human knoweldge. look at the skies and the Oceans and look at how the Sky sends down rain and the same amount of that rain returns back to the sky. look at the millions of creatures that are under the Deep seas and wonder in that Majestic creation. YOu;ll be 100% sure that no matter what you call the creator he is God the one and only.

If you can understand the above correctly then you know you are born for a reason and should know what your mission is.
Question is do I need a religion??????????
Answer yes you do. God sent you a prophet and many before you. game Moses the Tourat and the Thalmud to guide people with.
he gave David the Zaboor(Psalms) Jesus the Injeel (Gospel) and finally Mohammed the Quran as a final testimony.

The question is what are you doing about them? nothing works without a manual. you need a manual and training in order to do the right thing. many people do learn how to drive without help by coping from others but the coreect way is to seek for the correct book.
Some hear and obye. others follow the Misguided and live in a circle and when a calamity touches them they then say O God help us and later on go back to their disbelieves.
If you wish to use what God gave you then You are on the right track. If Not be certain that you shall meet him one day and have to answer to him for all things done on earth.
God being a Most kind and merciful he will not let you go on your own if you want help but first you have to seek help.
If however you decide to mock His laws or a prophet either in public or in secrect remember this

Many prophets passed and were mocked. naoh lived 950 years and was mocked all that time, others were killed like Zakariah and Yahya(JOhn )......
Many nations that ruled the world did so and later on vanished........
Finally whatever you do is not going to change God's status. God is God and we are going to meet him one day.
The blame is not on God the blame is on you.
PS
You= us all in general
Pbu all messengers mentioned.
God means the LORD of the universe some call him Allah others call him Elohim(same as Allah) Dieu, God Lord ............................................ what ever name one wishes to use.
