Chico Slimani Is Expecting A Baby

X FACTOR hunk Chico is celebrating being Number One today...by revealing he's going to be a DAD.

The former stripper who has bedded 1,500 women is expecting a baby with his best friend Daniyela Rakic.

They have been pals for 15 years but NEVER lovers—until a night of passion during the TV talent show last year. And she fell pregnant.

As his first single, It's Chico Time, knocked Madonna off the top of the charts, the star gushed: "I'm over the moon that these two wonderful things are happening to me at the same time.

"But now is the right time. It's Chico baby time!"

Excited Daniyela, 38, managed to keep her pregnancy a secret until the TV series ended.

The baby is due in June. If it's a girl, they plan to call her Keira. If it's a boy, Zachariah.

Former goatherder Chico, 34, whose real name is Yousseph Slimani, said: "Daniyela and I never looked at each other as anything more than soulmates until one night during X Factor.

"It was just the right time for us. She had been talking about having a baby and I've always wanted a baby.

"The kids who dance on stage with me, The Chicettes, made me broody like crazy.

"But I wasn't going to just go out and find a woman on the street. It had to be someone I could trust.

"We'd been joking about what it would be like to have a baby together. She wanted one with green eyes and my legs and my body, but with her cheekbones. We laughed about it—then suddenly it happened."

Daniyela, who lives near muscle-bound Chico in London, added: "I didn't tell him until X Factor finished just before Christmas because I didn't want to distract him from the finals."

Moroccan-born Chico laughed: "Thank God she never told me then. I'd have blown a gasket."

Since X Factor he's joined Global Talent Group, headed by Ashley Tabor—they also look after Shayne Ward, G4 and Corinne Bailey Rae—and his career is going from strength to strength.

Last night Chico described the moment Daniyela broke the news: "She's one of these people who doesn't know how to lie so when she said ‘I'm pregnant' I knew she was telling the truth.

"I said, ‘Pregnant, like a baby?' And she said, ‘Yes, a Chico baby.'

"I said, ‘Wow,' and we hugged each other and both started crying. It was very emotional. We only told our closest mates. We talk all the time about the fantastic way we can bring this child up."

Although they have no plans to wed, Chico and Daniyela flew to Cyprus for a spiritual blessing to celebrate. He believes in Sufism, the mystical side of Islam.

The singer said: "We're both very spiritual and we thought what could be nicer than blessing the parents of this child in a beautiful ceremony. We don't know whether it's a baby boy or girl but it's going to be a happy baby.

"We swore that we'd be there for our child, that we'd be soulmates and best friends no matter what.

"I don't know if we'll get together—who knows what will happen? But when the baby comes along and starts to look at me adoringly and asks why we're not together then maybe we will."

Chico is a legendary ladies' man but now he says his priority will be his new son or daughter.

He said: "Being a dad won't stop me going on tour...but they'll come with me.

No disrespect but if were to tell that a Pious man's wife had a baby would you be bothered? This is a very important question. I am asking because it is a shame to see the love being wasted. in this case many people love this man and he does not return the love back. true love should be a 2 way system you give and take.

I hv to agree with you 'The Truth'. Does not seem like the love runs both ways, why dont they just marry seeing as they are both religious?
Islam does not allow children out of wedlock and can muslim men still marry christian women, not that i know of. Seems as the years go buy most people pick and chose which part of there religion suits them!
