Sex before the Wedding?

Now as far that I am aware sex before the wedding is forbidden by the muslim religion.
I am pretty sure that some of the young girls and guys on this forum have or have had a boyfriend or girlfriend or both if it suit you...(not a muslim thing to do if I am correct, but I can be wrong)

So at the end would you have sex before to marry him or her or both or would you just play cards during this period of time you are together before the wedding.
